Lava bending isn't that crazy when you think about how water benders can heat up water into steam and cool it into ice. Same thing but earthbenders are melting the earth

I also think it makes sense that water benders are more adapt at changing states of matter as well. Like in ATLA, water benders at the poles are constantly around Ice, but we never see the swamp benders freeze water. They also discovered how to bend the water in the plants while being surrounded by greenery. Maybe earth benders who lived near a volcano would be more likely to to lava bend

I forget just how fast this book moves sometimes, but wow it feels great! Always a few parts I wish got more time but tbh its such a nitpicky thing compared to previous books, still an absolutely amazing book cant wait to see the rest of it alongside you!!

Honestly in my opinion, and I know many wont agree with me, I think Lin is more powerful between her and Su. You could tell she was still fatigued when she pulled up on Su. Plus, Lins staple is her metal cables. I think in a fight where both are at their fullest, Lin has a slight edge.
