Love getting Korra back to back!!!! Season 2 def has a bit of a slow start but really ramps up and gets moving quick once the civil war starts, very excited to keep watching along with you!!

I can't remember, but Verrick is probably after Future Industries for their assets and potential patents and stuff. Anything that will bring him and his company more money.

It's not the beginning of the season that people have a problem with. Varrick is the type of guy who likes other people doing stuff for him. He has money, and Asami has a business that was about to go bust. If he supports her, he'll make more money in the long run, but doing it this way means she owes him.

okay I think I can explain this for you, just because Asumi's company was going broke doesn't mean it was worthless. It probably has copyrights on designs to all its tanks/cars/airplanes that Verrick would want. But why buy them and let Asumi make all the money when he could put Asumi in a horrible situation so she'd have the sell shares so he could then come in and make much much much more money in the future from those designs.
