ngl, i’ve never been a fan of aangs fight with Ozai. Aesthetically it was top teir but, the random avatar state after by hitting his back from getting pressed by Ozai and then the whole Energy Bending thing just seemed like excessive plot armor to me, like the writers just couldn’t figure out a plausible way for Aang to actually win. They could’ve written the fight way better imo.

I mean it makes sense, in that moment he was on the brink of death and he was struck in the same spot that actually not only killed him but disconnected him from the avatar state since he was in it at the time. For him to get it back in a paralleling way makes a lot of sense since this show is all about parallels.

true, i understand that part, maybe it’s cus i’ve watched too many stuff where similar things happen, but it just felt way too coincidental and the most crucial point of the entire show. It’s not a bad ending, it just felt like the writers could’ve fleshed it out a bit better than the firelord pressuring him into hitting that exact same spot.
