I love Sasuke. Some people think he's an EMO but when you think about it he is the most human of all of the characters. Trauma is real and people succumb to it. They spend their whole lives doing things that make no sense because of something that happened years ago. Sasuke is lost and is on a rampage. I've been angry before. So I get him. I also get Naruto. I've had people in my life that lost their lives and I desperately tried to save for years almost ruining my own life on the process. I almost did I was so close. Naruto feels that same way.

It is the same. Naruto thought of Jiraiya like a father figure. We saw that in part one. He loved him that way. Doesn’t have to be blood. Naruto never had blood relatives to begin with. Naruto felt the same way about Jiraiya as Sasuke felt about his parents. That was his bond that he lost and now he understands what Sasuke was saying in their first battle about the difference between losing bonds and never having them to begin with. Losing love. Naruto losing Jiraiya really helped Naruto understand what Sasuke meant
