Tsunade actually was the one who pioneered the fact that every three man cell would have one medical ninja because of that war. Due to the fact that her brother and fiancée got killed in that war. She basically pioneered medical ninjutsu and formalized it.

Nagato had learned to trust Jaraiya and move on from the death of his parents, he says so in the previous episode, but obviously the betrayal by Hanzo with Danzo’s ROOT ninja didn’t help. I don’t think he has particular hatred of the leaf per se at this point. He’s sort of molded his grief into the teachings that Jaraiya gave him about how the world was fucked up and Nagato and Jaraiya dream of peace. Jaraiya explained that understanding someone’s pain can help bring understanding but all of that good teaching mixed with his trauma and that specific event of Yahiko dying sort of broke him. You can see it in his crazy smile and such. So now he thinks EVERYONE has to experience pain, specifically the type he felt, so they can understand each other rather than encouraging and building systems where people become more empathetic and understanding. Note: you’re about to see how much of a villain Danzo is he has hands in why everyone is fucked up from Sasuke, Nagato, Naruto and the leaf village, he’s a real fucker.
