Early into season 1, the X-Men were confronted by Sentinels. The team were lead to believe that Morph was killed by the robots when they saved Wolverine from being attacked. However, it turns out that Morph did survive but they were taken by Mr. Sinister the vampire mutant. Sinister messed with their mind and turned them into his puppet. It would take them a while, but eventually they were able to break free from his control. Morph didn’t appear in many episodes of the original show, but they appeared in the season five finale to attend Charles’ farewell. They were the first member of the team that Charles said goodbye to. He told them it was nice to see them home and how by facing their fears they had solidified themself as a true X-Man.
