Footnotes for A World by Three Temporal Dimensions map (Patreon)

I had fun putting together the footnotes for this month's feature map. There is a lot of thinking that went behind this map, and I'm glad we get to share it. To view a large version of the file, go to the Deviantart page.
As already explained in my posts on Reddit, Deviantart, and AlternateHistory.com, this map depicts he world of Altera divided by three time zone systems.
The three time zone systems (WTC, PDT, and GET) are all coordinated and, more importantly, consist of compromises between even more culturally distinct calendric and timekeeping systems that continue to be used by states in official capacity.
- WTC accommodates cultures that count 24, 12, or 6 hour-equivalent units in a day
- PDT accommodates for revolutionary decimal and traditional Indigenous vestigial bases
- GET accommodates for the old Emporic (OTL greater Indic) cultural systems of dividing the day into 30 and 60 hour-equivalent units while having the prime meridional set on the ancient city of Ujjain, where the Tropic of Cancer crosses over.
To convert across the times, Frank from Berlin devised a formula, which we showcased on the right blurb box on the map. It may look daunting to some, but we've put together an explanation graphic to elucidate how the formula works.
If formulas are not your thing but you are curious on how time might be rendered across different parts of the world, there's a table of different local times in the left blurb box on the map:
