Map Updates + Next Week's Map Drop (Patreon)

This month, along with data entry for the languages in Altera for a future database, I also worked on making major updates for the main maps, including fixing errors in Nicaragua and the Nunangats. With help from people who know Nahuatl and Inuktitut, I was able to comb over and correct place names. I also added a couple new states, one of which is quite implausible even for Altera standards, but humour me if you will.
I have uploaded the cloud versions for both A Wealth of Nations and Chorographical Depictions. So apart from downloading the new maps as JPEGS on https://www.atlasaltera.com/ and viewing the decorated versions on https://www.deviantart.com/telamontabulicus, you can re-download print-ready versions using the old links I shared for the respective maps.
More importantly, at this month's end, Matteo and I hope to bring to you this month's feature map, which will be a Risk-themed map. You could easily use it to play a real game. We are calling it Rixe, after the French word of Latin origin, meaning "skirmish, brawl," a fitting name for a tongue-in-cheek offshoot of Atlas Altera, considering the fact that the ethos of the project is far from ideals and glorification of conquest and empire.
