Latest Update (Patreon)

Despite my earlier grumbling, I have been grinding a bit on the strength update.  It's going to be a rather large update structurally.  I'm probably going to be physically recreating the game it in a new Twine file.  However, you aren't going to see that much of a change on your end (aside from the new mechanics, content, etc) - as the same descriptions and basic gameplay loops will be retained.

We're going to the next version of sugarcube (which looks a lot nicer and has built in forward/back capability), and the entire flow of the game is changed.

As such, I am going to go ahead and call this Version 4.  I am targeting a release date for the $10+ Patrons in early February, though I will provide more frequent updates in the coming days.   After the $10+ patrons get their early access/beta period with the game, then it will be released to all.

Interestingly enough, since the last update, there have been many new Patrons, despite it being so long ago.  As such, I want to give them a chance to process a $10 pledge to get early access.  

So, my plan is to create a "Paid Poll" on January 31st.  This poll will ask "What should I work on next", and is a different charge than the strength update one from Q4 2016.  

The  options for this poll will include a few potential updates for Life Sim 4.1 (I am currently thinking Martial Arts and Crafting/Forging) and an option for me to work on a small game.  For the small game to win, it has to get 50%+ of the vote (since a vote for another update means that person wants another version of Life Sim).  If the small game wins, we'll have another poll for that (an unpaid one of course)

For anyone who doesn't know, the way Paid Polls work on  Patreon is the same as any other paid post.  It generates a "pledge" that will be charged at the beginning of the following month; in this case, February 1-3ish.  It DOES NOT mean you have to actually pay to vote in the poll!

Regardless of whether you qualified via that pledge or this one, you will receive early access to Version 4.  If your pledge is processed for this "What should I do next" poll, then you will receive early access and perks for whatever project that is as well.

If you would like to increase your pledge to get early access to Version 4, and/or whatever comes next, please do so before the evening of January 31st.
