And season 4 has come to an end! This season is incredible - definitely in my top 3 favorite seasons and your reactions have been so great to watch :) So excited for season 5! The “second half” of OTH is truly amazing- the character development especially!!

This finale... God. While I think season 2 is the best finale storytelling wise strictly because it was the catalyst for how great season 3 ended up being, I think this one is probably (S6 being a close second) the most satisfying finale for me. It feels more like a series ending than a season ending. Watching all of our favs in one scene with all of their lives ahead of them, and us being left with nothing other than curiosity of how everything will turn out for all of them. I remember constantly playing back that final scene over and over again trying to picture what life would be like for all of them. I can’t wait until you start season 5. We’re entering a new chapter now, and honestly, being an adult now, it’s my favorite parts of this show. The hype is so real right now.

This finale is particularly important....I would consider there are truly 3 Periods of OTH...This mark the end of this first period I believe, this was the story of our beloved characters in high school and their journey in life at that age..Past this point no spoiler yet you will quickly realize we will move towards a different time in their life and times where our characters will be in a different place...All of it is also just as great...And the few last minutes of season 4 are possibly my favorite moments in the show because it has every emotion we love about One Tree Hill. In this day and age and crazy time I am sure we are all glad to be taken to such a safe loving place like this show, this community and those reactions which we love, thank you very much, can't wait for season 5

Yes!!! The Haley and Brooke friendship is my all time favorite friendship from the show!!! They really shine in the later episodes of the series. I do really like Brooke and Peyton as well, but personally, I just really like the dynamic between Haley and Brooke!

I really love the later half of the show, but it does feel different and has a different tone. Love it and the more grown up approach! It is really fun to watch, so I cannot wait for you to start season 5. Personally 6 and 7 are probably my absolute FAVORITES from the later seasons, because I love the additions made to the cast and two of my favorite ships develop in those two seasons!!! Five is good too, very much a transitional time for the show and its characters and I cannot wait for you to see what has happened to these characters. I really love how much you love this series and am glad that so many of us Patreon subscribers and Youtube followers can support you on all reactions, but especially OTH. So I really hope that you continue to love the show as much as you do now alllll the way into season 9, cause' this show isn't short LMAO. Hopefully, you are able to hope into season 5 pretty soon

I love our OTH family so much! It’s amazing to be able to watch your reactions & have so many people to talk with in the comments after each episode. The passion we have for this show is unmatched :) And yes, OTH is timeless. I completely agree with your comments about how (some) shows are now- with writing that doesn’t even match the character’s story. But with OTH, it feels like everything has a purpose & gives the characters a chance to grow. This finale is definitely one of my favorite episodes! It’s the “end of an era” as Skills says. The end to these characters’ high school life and the start of their adult journey. I adore the early seasons, as the characters went through high school, but the later seasons are just as good and important to the story! Brooke and Haley are my favorite female friendship in the show. Peyton and Brooke are great too though!! So excited for you to start season 5! It’s a shorter season with 18 episodes, so you might finish it quicker than season 4 lol!

You are definitely right about how many shows are written these days, where the plot just feels like something writers are trying to check off a list. Early 2000's had amazing shows, especially shows considered teen dramas and such. OTH is definitely a show i feel has great storylines which can hook a person for many seasons and I cannot wait to see you continue reacting to it.

Great reaction Juli. I love this season finale, it’s one my favorites and one of my favorite OTH episodes. This episode marked the end of the High School era and prepares us for their journeys as adults. And they’ve all come such a long way from who they were in season 1. A lot of shows suffer from characters never really changing or constantly repeating the same mistakes but One Tree Hill is a show about characters journeys and growth. Nathan started the show as a Jerk Jock and now he’s a mature loving husband and father. Lucas started confused and making mistakes, the outcast finding his way as player for the Ravens basketball team and now he’s so grounded and centred and he helps ground other characters. We have Peyton the emo, moody cheerleader who’s endured so much tragedy and came out stronger on the other side and is finally happy with her friends and the guy she loves. Brooke started the show as the pretty and popular cheerleader who only cared about sex and grew to become one of the greatest characters on the show. As quoted on Lucas' book "in two years she’d grown more than anyone I know." And she really has come such a long way, becoming student council president, starting her own clothing line!! It’s amazing. And then there’s bookworm Haley James, tutor girl who also grew so much, she found the love of her life in Nathan, she became a pop singer for a while and she’s a mother now!!! It’s incredible when you think about everything these characters have gone through. I loved the parallels between Haley and Karen, I loved Karen seeing ghost Keith and him telling her to go be with their daughter. It’s so sad that Lily will never get to know her dad. The scene where Karen goes to see Dan in prison was so powerful, both actors were incredible. I loved the thing Dan kept doing with his eyes where he just looked so completely ashamed with himself, probably feeling like trash which he should and Karen looking at him stone cold and then spitting on the glass!! It was so good. And of course that scene at the end where Dan tries to hang himself is just so powerful, I love the mirroring they did of when he shot Keith. It was great and his scream at the end as he was lying on the floor. Just powerful. I’m with Lucas when he says that they should just be done with Dan for good and for Lucas that’s absolutely understandable as Dan took away the only father figure he’s ever had but this will of course be harder for Nathan. We were finally introduced to James Lucas Scott aka Jamie Scott!! I love the choices of Lucas and Brooke as godparents. It fits and no spoilers but you will really see them both step up to those roles of godparents ( and uncle for Lucas ) and you just know how good a parents Nathan and Haley will be. I loved watching them freak out and call Deb all the time until she finally disconnected the phone. I just loved watching Deb be okay and taking care of the baby and being a part of this moment with Naley. And what can I say of that final moment on the river court!! It was just them having fun and celebrating their friendship on the place where the show began!!! The Rivercourt is like a character of its own and of course that’s where they were gonna celebrate and share their final hoorah before they all embarked on their next journeys. I love that last moment with Lucas and Nathan play one on one mirroring the pilot episode where they were rivals and competitors and now we get to see them as brothers and best friends!! This a was truly spectacular episode and the end makes me want to cry!! A beautiful end to an extraordinary era!! And as we embark to later seasons you’ll see that energy is different but it’s still OTH at its core. I love the pace you’re going please don’t ever stop lol. And I cannot wait for season 5, so many new storylines, characters and drama of course!!!

Wow..! I really feel so sad every time I watch this episode, it just feels like the end of an era and it breaks my heart but trust me the other half of the show is SO good! I won’t give any spoilers but it’s really great.. so many surprises, plot twist and grown up for the characters ! S5 is short I think it has only 18 episodes, and S9 has only 13 episodes so the end’s coming fast! Excited as usual !! A live chat would be awesome. The scene in here with Karen and Dan really is one of my favorite from the show. So well acted and powerful... Moira & Paul did such a great job on that. Thank you for reacting to this show, you’re amazing we would not be all together if it wasn’t for you. Truly! ❤️

This episode just hits as One Tree Hill’s simplicity. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ That’s why I love rewatching this show every time because I know there’s ONE tree hill and this is our home. Some of shows from now are great but the most of them are just fan service, predictable, cliché and just bring forced cliffhanger to forced cliffhanger and OTH doesn’t need that to be extraordinary.

I have to say thank you to everyone on here in this little One Tree Hill Fan bubble we got going on. I have always known oth fans to be kind and passionate, but this here is almost as important imho as Juli’s reactions. I love how respectful we exchange our point of views and how much we’re unified in the love for this show. It will always be one of my absolute favorite shows because the themes and characters are timeless. These teenagers are flawed and make mistakes but they always learn from them and evolve into better people. I know that especially in the teen drama genre that’s a unique thing to do. It makes One Tree Hill always feel like home. ❤️

as to this finale - I’m glad it tied everything up with a bow kind of like a series finale would. And in a sense it marks the end of an era and is a finale for these 4 seasons and now begins a new chapter. What a wild ride!

This episode is so special in so many ways and it just hits differently. It's the end of an era and I can't think of a better way to end the high school years for these teens. I love how they have all these parallells to earlier episodes and connect things together. This could easily have worked as a series finale, but I'm so glad there's more and I'm so excited for you to see how they'll all deal with the next chapters of their lives. Brooke and Haley's friendship is my favourite on the show, so having Brooke be the one reading the rest of Haley's speech hit right in my Braley loving heart. And not to mention when Haley told Brooke they wanted her to be Jamie's godmother. That always gets to me and is one of my all time favourite scenes between them. Having Brooke and Lucas being the godparents just feels right. Naley are already the most adorable parents, how they kept calling Deb to check in on the baby was so funny. The girls dancing to Spice Girls is such an iconic scene, I've watched that particular scene so many times. And bc I've seen it so many times I've noticed that Haley's shoes changes every other scene. Please tell me I'm not the only one whose noticed that hahaha. Dan's scenes this episode were all so powerful, especially the one he had with Karen. Gosh, what an intense moment and the actors did it with so much brilliance. I have never been a fan of Brucas, but even I teared up a little when Lucas showed Brooke his novel and made her read those lines he had written about her. Such a good way to describe Brooke. It feels bittersweet saying goodbye to this chapter of One Tree Hill, but I just wanna say thank you Juli for all of your reactions you've done so far and for puting so much love, effort and emotions into them. This show is so amazing in so many ways and I just truly love and enjoy the community on here and our oth family. With all this positivity, love and admiration it really does feel like a home.

I was finally able to catch up to all of your reactions. I’ve missed them so much, my daughter was in the hospital but she’s finally out and doing better. 🙏🏽 This finale always and I mean ALWAYS makes me cry. It’s one of my favorites, the moments between Nathan and Lucas. That Keith, Karen and Lily scene breaks me, it’s so beautiful and she got to see Keith one more time and say goodbye properly. Dan confessing and then trying to kill himself after Karen came to visit is such a powerful scene. Karen was the last good thing in his life besides Nathan. So for her to look at him with such hate in her eyes, watching her spit slide down the glass. Man that’s masterclass acting lmaoo. The Spice Girls scene is my favorite part too lol all the girls just enjoying themselves for once. The goodbyes, the smiles, the laughs, the making the last moments together fun and worth it. It was perfect. And the last scene with Nathan and Lucas and Lucas calls him little brother. I sob each and every time. No more high school, time to see them as adults. I can’t wait to see your reactions for the rest of the seasons. I love you girl lol ❤️ Now excuse me as I binge your reactions from season 1 now 🤣🙌🏽😊

Can't wait to see your season 5 reactions. Season 5 is a lot different, but I honestly think the later half of the show has some of the best moments in the series. The heart of the show remains strong throughout it and the later seasons have some of the best character moments and development. I always find myself rewatching the later seasons a lot more than the earlier seasons to see those moments of growth. You might want to consider doing a beginning of the season binge if you have the time to fit it into your schedule. The first few episodes of the season are intense and fascinating, so I found it impossible to not watch the first 3-4 episodes all at once, but do whatever works for your schedule. I love season 5 Brooke too. She's amazing and you really see all her growth and find out what she wants for herself, not mention she's such an amazing and supportive friend to everyone. I don't like season 7 Brooke too much, found her to moody and creating obstacles for herself in order not to be happy. But the adult years are amazing for Brooke Davis.

One of the things that I love most about One Tree Hill is their dedication to their characters. A lot of shows bring in new characters and side characters and don't really build them up and don't give them dimensions and storylines but OTH brings in characters and actually takes the time to let the audience get to know them and give them stories that don't feel out of place, like Skills and other characters we'll see over the next few seasons. It really feels like the show cares about the people they create.
