Great reaction! I really enjoyed this movie. K Callan, the actress who played Harlan's mom played Clark Kent's mother in Lois and Clark: MARTHA Kent! lol I'm so lame because I find that funny. Ana de Armas, who played Marta, was in a Spanish teen show called El Internado back in the days One Tree Hill was airing and I used to visit a Spanish forum in which El Internado and OTH were the two main shows getting posts so I'd saw her face in people's signatures all the time but I only watched a few episodes of that show. I also saw her in a Cuban film Una Rosa de Francia, she was sixteen and she played a young girl being groomed to be a prostitute. So, it was nice to see she somehow made the jump to Hollywood. I actually suspected Chris Evans character from the begining but I thought at some point he was coming up at the middle of the movie because Martha was pregnant with his baby. I don't know why I thought that but all her puking and not wanting to get high and declining the drink because she was working led me to think that until we finally saw them interact. The first thing I'd do with a million dollars is get my family out of the country until our current president leaves office and buy a house in Canada for us. Have a re-start together since we are all in different states and this Covid emergency is making me miss them.

I've been looking forward to this one for a while. Thank you so much Juli! An absolutely fantastic movie. You continually amaze me with how much you pick up and notice when you are watching stuff. You are so insightful and clever with your analysis I absolutely love it. Thank you! If you can find the time, you might like to watch the film again. You can see even more little details when you know how it ends. SUCH A GOOD FILM!! Haha. Written and directed by Rian Johnson who did Star Wars Episode 8. He's a master of little details and lines of dialogue that mean things later.... He also did Looper which I really like. To answer one of your questions - most of your reactions that I watch I have seen before, but I have watched a few movies for the first time with you. It's actually fun even when you are talking about things because I'm often thinking the same thing you are!! Thanks, Juli!

Random question - have you ever considered watching the James Bond films? Daniel Craig is James Bond and he played Benoit Blanc in this film. I've been watching your Killing Eve reactions and I'm in a spy mood, haha.

Teresina

If we are talking spy movies, I bet she’d like Atomic Blonde more than James Bond (those are such guy movies).

When are you reacting to the HTGAWM series finale? :)

Gracie

I am so glad you liked this movie. It was one of my favorite films of 2019. In my opinion, it should've gotten more than one Oscars nomination. It was such a unique take on your typical Who dun it/murder mystery movie. I loved the cast and even though Ana de Armas was one of the lesser known actors I thought she was so amazing. I am very excited to see her play Marilyn Monroe and a Bond girl in her upcoming films.  If I ever inherited that kind of money, I would probably buy my dream house, travel the world, and pay for college.

Teresina

This is definitely the type of movie that you want to see someone else’s reactions to the big reveals, rather than watch over and over just for yourself. Mysteries are like that.

Teresina

Knives Out is a great movie! Thank you for sponsoring it, Gracie! 🙂
