So glad you pointed out that sophie comes from a different cultural and economic system than kate. Coming out can be extra painful for minorities or ppl with religious families. And shes not rich. She would have been disowned by her family with no career . Poor Sophie. She just feels like she cant some out.

okay so idk why you hate Jacob and I don’t think you understood what he said to Sophie. He meant that the military system is homophobic and very set on their “rules”. so she would’ve been fired if she came out - that is the harsh truth. and Jacob knows that Kate doesn’t care about that bc she’s fearless, but Jacob knew that Sophie does care and doesn’t have a lot of other options, so he warned her. What’s wrong about that? He didn’t say she should break up with Kate ...
