I've honestly been meaning to watch this show for a very long time so your timing is perfect. I watched the first season waaaay back when it first aired but remember very little about it other than the last few episodes. Looking forward to this!

I'm happy you enjoyed the first episode! This series gets really good as you keep watching. :) And I've noticed that this show is usually an exception for people who normally don't care for animation. And yes! The original creators, as well as other people who worked on this series, are doing a live action version of this show for netflix. They are in the process of creating it, but no release date or anything else yet. Some of my favorite things about this show are the characters and the humor. The humor is something I find to be very unique to Atla. I'm very excited to see you learn even more about this show!

Also, I noticed a lot of other reactors, along with Joe, had copyright issues with this series on youtube too. So I would be careful with that. :)

These episodes are very hard to post on YouTube. Most reactors, I've seen, get blocked for these and eventually give up. This company (Viacom?) is VERY stringent with posting their content.

I love Avatar The Last Airbender! I found it about 8 years ago when Netflix started streaming the show and fell in love with the story and characters. I'm happy to see you reacting to it!

I first started watching atla when it aired. And I still enjoy it now that I am 18 years old. This show is my favourite of all time because it has a so unique style to it. Also as a kid this show is fantastic but as an adult this show has alot new to offer because there are things you will only understand when you are older. And every time I watch it from start zu finish there are details I haven't seen before. So every time you rewatch atla you still find new things you missed the watch before. I am so happy that we get the chance to see your reaction to this piece of art ♡

I'm too old to have seen this as a kid. I saw it as an adult and was like, "This is possibly THE best show...ever." I tried to get my friends to watch it and they were like, "Sure. Sure. Whatever." One, who doesn't care for anime, got to it about 2 1/2 years after I suggested it to him and gave him a copy. He told me he finally watched it and I said, "What'd you think?" He said, "...Best...show...ever." I said, "...IS what I'm SAYIN'!" xD\

Also, technically, it's not anime. It's written and created by Americans that love anime and martial arts. The animation studio that drew it, I believe, is a Korean company though.

Yeah, I binged this show when I first watched it. I think I watched, at least 3-4 eps in a sitting.

I am very late to this conversation but something another reviewer said still sticks in my head about this episode. Sokka, who is only a few years older then Aang and Katara, is the only "adult" male left in this tiny tribe. The others are either dead or off fighting in the war. We are looking at a civilization that is on the verge of going extinct with the Southern Water Tribe.
