Hey Juli, I'm gonna take a little break from watching the next few episodes. I think you'll be very surprised with some of these developments involving Damon with Caroline and Bonnie. And yes Caroline is very hypocritical towards Damon given her relationship with Klaus and remember SHE KILLED 12 WITCHES for Bonnie in season 4 and now she judges Elena when there was nothing else she could've done!! I'm not a fan of this story arc from 5x08-5x15. I'll be back to watching from 5x15 onwards!! I really wish you could speed through these horrible episodes in my opinion lol. But anyway keep up the good work. I did like 5x09-5x10 for the Damon storyline with the Augustine SL but I just honestly hated this part of season 5 in my opinion was one of the creepiest and disturbing SL's I just hated 5x11-5x15.

I find it funny that in a episode center around PTSD they as always conveniently forget to mention that Damon basically raped Caroline

He didn't rape Caroline.....He compelled the fear away which is a tactic every vampire has used throughout the series....If Damon's a rapist you might as well consider them all one...I can't with this reach.

I'm sorry but Caroline is a hypocrite. In season 4 Bonnie was about to be killed by witches. In the moment Caroline panicked and instead of pushing the witch away she killed her and in doing so she killed 12 witches. Jessie was literally about to rip Damon's head off and kill him, Elena had the choice of taking the chance of pulling Jessie off him but maybe being too late and letting Damon die or killing him and in that moment you don't have time to second guess things. Caroline had an easier choice and she chose to kill so why is it that now that Elena does it she's been ruined by Damon's evilness? Then she is able to see that KLAUS who killed Elena's Aunt, used Elena as a blood bag for his hybrids, forced Stephen to become a ripper again and so many more things, but he is OK and can be saved but she can't see why Elena is with Damon? She's just ridiculous.

Juli I understand that you love Damon but Caroline has every right to hate him. I would never be ok with my best friend dating the guy who abused me so why should she have to? I know he's changed but that doesn't take away what he did to her and she shouldn't have to accept him when he's never as much as apologized to her.

I get what you're saying and I agree to an extent but here is where I have a problem with this. I'd have so much more respect for the writing and sympathise with Caroline's hatred of Damon had it been shown to us seasons 2-3 instead of being a non issue in all the times we've seen them team up, work together in the past, s2 they're hanging out casually in her room talking about Tyler and werewolves and Damon telling her not to get involved with Tyler cuz his bite could kill her. Damon only became a problem for Caroline ONCE HE STARTED DATING ELENA! it was plot convenience not a hatred that had always been demonstrated. at least Matt and Bonnie's dislike of Damon had been more consistent than Caroline who in 3x04 said to Elena that she was not a horrible person for having feelings for Damon, "it means you're human". They don't have Caroline saying she hates Damon for the horrible things he to her, They have her hate for "being a horrible person" well guess what Caroline, so are Stefan, Katherine, Klaus, including you who killed 12 witches last season. They have her being hypocritical. Thats my problem with it and I think that's what Juli means as well.
