mama original used the doppelgänger in their time to do the spell because the doppelgänger is a powerful magic source. she did not create the petrova doppelgängers. you’ll learn more about that in the vampire diaries and the originals

No, mama original used doppelgänger blood in the spell to create the Originals she did not create the doppelgängers. You may remember that when she turned Alaric into an original she forced Elena to give up some of her blood for the spell

I wish I could explain the whole doppelganger thing and how it pertains to the Originals. I understand it in my head, but there is no way I could explain it to someone else and make sense. Hopefully, someone else can. I really enjoy your reactions. I've seen other reaction videos, but you are the only one that truly reacts. When it's funny, you laugh. When it's sad, you tear up or cry. No mama originals just used the current doppelgänger at that time remember the originals takes place like 1000 years ago but the Silas and amara thing was over 2000 years ago. The reason mama original used the doppelgänger is because it’s a recurring thing in nature. I know it’s confusing 😂

The Doppelgänger lineage starts with Silas and Amara. They were the originals and because they became Immortals nature created shadow selves/ doppelgängers. Now the Silas doppelgängers are born at random. But the Amara/Petrova doppelgängers seem to be born every 500 years, if you notice the doppelgänger from the Originals timeline, Tatia was born 1000 years ago in 10th century AD when the Originals were turned and Esther used her blood to create the Originals. Katherine or better yet Katerina Petrova was born in 15th century (500 years after) in 1470s and was turned into a vampire in 1492 as revealed in the 2x09 flashback episode "Katerina" as for Elena Gilbert she was born 500 years later in the 20th century sometime in the 1990s. Anyway more will be revealed about what the doppelgängers represent to the storyline and you'll find out more about the 'universe'.

Silas and Amara are at least 1000 years older than the Originals and their timeline. Esther/Mama Original used the blood of the current doppelgänger at the time.

Esther used Tatia's blood(one of Amara's doppelgängers) to create a spell for immortality (e.g. made her children into vampires, original vampires). She has nothing to do with the creation of doppelgängers. Silas and Amara being turned into immortal beings is the reason for doppelgängers - since there has to be a balance, a version of them that can die. Stefan DID fall in love with Katherine, she compelled him to not be afraid and to keep her secret (being a vampire) to himself and not tell Damon about them. I don't know if there's a pair of doppelgängers each time (e.g. amara and silas fall in love, katherine/elena and stefan etc) but maybe it's just that A Amara doppelgänger + A Silas doppelgänger. I feel so bad for Damon, people have constantly told him that they don't belong together and shit. Leave my baby alone.

Haha it was funny. I don't ship Stelena but it was a given/obvious that they were gonna make Silas' true be a Petrova Doppelgänger once the reveal came in 4x23 that Silas was a Stefan "gänger" lol It was going to be the writers way to keep the triangle alive now that Damon and Elena are together. All angst angst angst in this show.
