Maria as in Maria Hill, Director Fury's right hand. I think you've probably seen her in Captain America: the winter soldier, plus she has been mention a couple of time in the show :)

There is so much to love about this episode. Amy Acker (loved her in 'Angel'). Koenig pulling a gun on Ward (!) We meet May's mom, who is *also* a spy! (BTW, the actress, Tsa Chin, was a Bond girl in 'You Only Live Twice'). We find out that May was married (!) and Skye's 'real' name. Chloe Bennet takes a level of awesome in her acting in this episode as well!

Glad you see how watching Winter Soldier matters. (Captain America the First Avenger helps too). It wasn't just about understanding episode 17. What happened with Hydra in Winter Soldier frames everything that happens next. Shield changed from being the giant, powerful, Fury led spy agency to being small, weak and in hiding. Hydra on the other hand, returned to the world from hiding and is now a huge problem that didn't just end when Cap stopped them in the movie. (yikes, sorry for the long comment)

I believe Tripp's grandfather was in "Captain America: The First Avenger." When Agent Koenig says his grandfather was a "Howling Commando," they were in that movie.

HEHE! I like how Fitz says Bruce Banner created that technology. I know you had a tinge of recognition of the name. That is The Hulk's alter-ego.

Whenever I see this episode, I always think of the trash can blooper. It’s hilarious. I definitely would love to see you react to the bloopers after Season 1 is over 😂😄
