That was hard to watch because of the audio syncing, but other than that great reaction video. I'm totally with you on the Elena front. She's trying to please everyone else and behave how everyone wants her to behave. Stefan suggests bunnies, she goes with it. Damon his blood, blood bags and snatch, eat erase. But there's also the peer pressure issue, and you mentioned that last season when Caroline told Elena to invite Stefan to the dance and when you mentioned that in your reaction video, this episode jumped out to me as another example. Elena was doing what comes natural to vampires. But she had to pretend and make excuses to everyone (except Damon who accepts and enjoys what he is) that she didn't like it. Bonnie blamed Damon in a negative way for helping Elena be a responsible vampire. And in public Elena let him take the blame, in private she admitted that it felt right although she didn't like it. If Elena acted how she felt comfortable with and ignored peer pressure, she'd be happier. Her friends and Stefan want Elena to continue being a human with a small diertary change, and I think that is what Elena expected it to be. Nobody has really told her about how much it changed them. Caroline is her only reference point, but Caroline's personality made her naturally suitable to being a better person as a vampire. Damon hinted to her about it on his deathbed. Elena has had a lot of darkness in her life, she was never going to be bright and bubbly as a vampire. Elena has to accept what she is and so do her friends and whatever changes it brings. Putting peer pressure on her to be something that she isn't is the most dangerous thing. Anger will just build up inside and she'll flip and that's when she's most likely to kill, not when she's feeding if she's worked out how to feed without killing. The difference between Stefan and Damon is that Stefan says the worst thing about being a vampire is the bloodlust, whilst Damon hates the emotional issues that it brings. Bloodlust makes Stefan dangerous, emotional overload makes Damon dangerous. Elena is like Damon in that sense as she's more likely to lose control from emotions now as we saw with her reaction to Rebekah in the previous episode.

Great reaction Juli!!!! Speaking of Elena you have to try and understand her more...She became a vampire by accident and is still trying to sort through this issue while trying to make others happy....Her friends and even Stefan are having a hard time accepting her as she is which is why she lies/hides what she truly feels. Elena is still growing and in growing comes acceptance I think episode 5 will be a better episode for Elena that is where her change really begins....There is SO much more to be revealed in the upcoming episodes and I can't wait until you see them.....Thanks for all that you do Juli....It's very much appreciated!!!!

I loved your reaction!!! I really hated what Klaus did to Rebekah this episode BUT ultimately he did for a reason. They both knew the best thing they could do was to keep her away from this. Rebekah is amazing, but she is also someone who can't be trusted with her emotions. She is so willing to open up and be vulnerable and reveal things that would put her and her family in harms way and even though her vulnerability is beautiful sometimes it is a dangerous thing like now. Not saying that's how she is treated by Klaus is okay because it is not but in this case I understand why he thought putting her down was the best thing to do. She can't trust her.

Hi Juli! I understand your frustration with Elena in this episode but the episodes coming will help you see her development and change with accepting who she is now as a vampire. Becoming a vampire isn't easy for her and in a way, she's more like Damon dealing with the struggles of enhanced emotions more than just the hunger struggle that Stefan deals with. I'm so excited for you to watch 4x07! Great things are coming my dear! It's one of my favorite episodes of the series! Also, the Rebekah/Klaus scene was hard to watch the first time I ever saw it, and was hard to understand at first, but trust me Klaus has his reasons for his actions and though I don't agree with what he did to Rebekah, his rational side was considering her emotional struggles and in his mind, she needed to be put down for awhile. But don't worry love! We all love Rebekah as much as you do. As we move along this season, you'll come to understand Klaus and his siblings better and their family dynamic a bit more. Can't wait for your next reaction video!
