I'm almost done with the monthly exclusive for September, aiming to finish with somewhere between 12k and 14k words. But after I'm done I'll still need to proofread, which can take a few hours, so my ETA is Wednesday night (spoiler, expect lots of facesitting, face-riding, plus secretive footjobs & handjobs & blowjobs)

I made a poll earlier this month on what I should write for it, and since Teenage Succubus III was tied with the option for a new story, I decided to write the third act for September, and then focus on a new idea for October (I'll try to publish it earlier than the end of the month lol). Thanks to the poll I made a few days ago, I saw how popular coworker and boss/employee stories are, so some kind of butt-centric tale with those characters is what I'll probably write about. And if you haven't filled the poll out, it should take less than 2 minutes, and is completely anonymous. You can find it by clicking here. I had to reset the poll about 6 hours after first publishing because there was an error with a question, so if you remember only being limited to 5 options for the question of which fetishes you liked, you probably responded to the wrong one, and can fill out the corrected version if you want your voice tallied.

Anyways, that's that, but there was also some news recently about Patreon introducing a new subscription system. Currently, everyone's renewals happen on the 1st of the month, regardless of when you sign up. I'm sure everyone's aware of that by now. But they just introduced an option to allow pages to let subscriptions renew 30 days after their signup date. AKA, currently, you sign up on September 5th, you renew on October 1st. Under the new option, you sign up on September 5th, you renew on October 5th. I'm sure some people might notice their subscriptions for other pages turn into that system, and want it to happen with my page--and since I think it's obviously a good idea, I was initially going to--but Patreon said that that system might not be a good fit for pages with monthly rewards. And I realized oh shit, lol, that's me. And there's a few reasons why implementing the new system would ruin the monthly rewards, not just for me as a creator, but for my audience too. So even if you're typically not at that tier, you can read on to find out why I won't be switching.

Here's an example of what could happen if I implement the new system.

The publishing date of the exclusives isn't consistent, bc I'm not good at sticking to my schedule, plus life happens plus they're always different lengths every month. Let's say I send out download links to the exclusive via private messages, on January 15th, and then another on February 2nd, and another on March 20th.

Under the new system, if someone subscribes on January 10th, and their sub lasts until February 10th, then they get access to two exclusives through paying for one month. Kinda lucky lol, right? But another person subscribes for Feburary 15th through March 15th. And because of the publishing dates, they didn't get access to either story. I could make a regular post with the stories attached as files, like I usually do, and leave it up for a few days or weeks. But then people could (unfairly?) get access to two months for the price of one, while everyone else has to pay like normal. And even then, it still might not solve the problem for some patrons' subscription periods.

But what if sent out links for the exclusives at the same date and time every month? Well, I've noticed that a lot of people wait until each exclusive is published to see if it's a story they want to upgrade or re-subscribe for. The only way to get guaranteed the story would be subscribing ahead of time, which a lot of people don't want to do since they won't know what they're getting.

The way it currently works though, it doesn't matter when someone subscribes to the Exclusives tier or above. Whenever it goes live, the post has the files attached until I remove them on the last day of the month. So anyone who was subscribed can download right away, and anyone who decides they want it and will subscribe has time to download before I take the files down.

All this being said, I'm sure there might be some kind of system I can work out that allows for the new subscription option while retaining the benefits of how I do things now. But it definitely wouldn't be as simple as things are now.

The downside to the current way of course is that peoples' subscriptions will last different lengths of time depending on what day of the month they sign up. This is why I don't make new posts or advertise on DeviantArt/GiantessWorld during the last ~10 days of every month. I don't want to encourage people to sign up at the worst opportunities. I checked my Patron database, and saw that 90% of people subscribe in the first half of the month anyways, with almost two thirds subscribing/renewing on the 1st of the month. So for the large majority of people, the way I'm running the system now isn't even much of an issue. It's very rare for someone to sub in the last few days of the month, and if they're a new subscriber, I'll usually reach out and let them know about the impending renewal and offer a partial refund if they decide to renew.

Anyways, idk how to end this post. That's all the info, hope yall understand, lmk if you have questions, and thanks as always for supporting me!

I hope most creators stick with the first of the month option. It just makes sense to have all that I sub to, to come out in one lump sum. I'm sure much less of a headache on your part as well.
