"Puppy for Halloween" Partial Refunds + Update (Patreon)

Finishing up a large commission for New Year's with Jackie, should be over 10k words, spread out over half a dozen chapters, that'll be posted the first week of December (along with a new chapter of HTTYB) But in the meantime... 

I was looking at my prices for A Puppy for Halloween (my October exclusive), and realized that it was the same price as the Thanksgiving story, even though it was half the amount of words. So I lowered the price on Gumroad to $10 instead of $15 (and issued a $5 refund to everyone who purchased thru Gumroad).

If you subscribed or upgraded from the $5 tier in October, you can send me a message or email and when the Christmas sequel drops in a few weeks, and I'll give you a discount code for $5 to use on Gumroad if you want. Since I said in the post it would be at the $15 price on Gumroad, I wanna be fair to those who upgraded because of what I said. After my recent poll I learned that this only represents about 10% of people, but that's more than 0%!

Going forward, prices might fluctuate for stories based on their length. I'm thinking of making a 5,000 word exclusive and a 10,000 word exclusive in January. Two exclusives, worth $15 collectively, but on Gumroad they'd be $5 and $10 because of their different lengths. I think this will be more fair all around going forward, and now that you all have had the chance to see this update you can make more informed decisions when supporting me in the future :)

If you were already at the $10 tier when the Halloween story was posted and upgraded from that, then you won't be able to get the discount since the effective price you paid to upgrade was still less than its new price (and same for $20 tier).  I can't afford to refund everyone 😅

And as a note on top of that, I will likely be bundling the three stories together for some kind of discounted price (it depends how long the Christmas story ends up being). Probably between $30 and $35 though. So you guys can also keep that in mind for next year's stuff: if the exclusives are the only thing you want to buy, you could probably wait a few months for stuff to get bundled up and get it at a slight discount. But IMO that bundle still doesn't beat what I think is the best deal if you like everything I write, which is just subscribing to Patreon!
