Lunatea was the second child of King Valdis and the late Queen Sapphire. Unlike her older brother Shade, who was not very social and spent most of his youth cooped up in the castle, Lunatea made the time to mingle with many other people around her age frequently...or at least she tried to. Valgate's living conditions were horrid for those not in the royal family, and because of this and the curse warping the citizens' minds, Lunatea was unwelcomed by most people in her hometown. Valid's reputation for being a horrible ruler did not help her case either, since she was one of the king's children. After a while, she began to take up the only form of solace she could think of; practicing the dark arts. Within no more than a year of dedicated practice, she became the greatest dark mage in all of the kingdom, besting her court's finest mages in combat easily. This only distanced her from the people even more as the more proficient she became with her magic, the more her mind was corrupted. With the death of her mother as a child, she was convinced that anyone not in her family meant absolutely nothing to her. With the curse almost completely consuming her, the once happy and cheerful little girl grew up into a literal merciless and viscous mage, bent on helping her father unite the world under an oppressive rule. Lunatea is well aware of the fear she and her family bring upon others, yet that only fuels her desire even more. Recently, she slaughtered many innocents in Silverport, simply as a distraction to get closer to the objective of taking Shineheart Castle. She cares little for others, knowing that all they are consumed by is fear. Lunatea will stop at nothing until her father's rule is absolute.
