The Break Room - Storyboard (Patreon)

It's time to announce my next big animation! It involves Renamon and Guilmon spending some quality time together in one of the ship's lounges.~ Name subject to change if I come up with something better!

As you can tell by this post, I'm gonna be trying some new stuff with this project! I'm restructuring my workflow a bit and refocusing on a less narrative-heavy concept so I can show more of it as it gets finished. In previous projects there would be weeks where I wouldn't have anything to show you all except a few reaction shots or a few second clip of characters talking. This project is much more focused on the action, so I can show what I been working on more often!

Current plans are as follows:

1. I show you all the storyboard of the project, which is above! This is mostly the general flow of the project and basic poses put down. There will be more camera angles and such, but this is a good summary of the animations to expect.

2. I show you all the animatic for the project. This will be an actual video, with VERY rough animations and timing. It also won't have any audio. This is what I give to voice actors so they can actually see what they're voicing, but this time you'll all get to see it as well!

3. As sections of the animation are finished, I'll be uploading them for you all to see. I haven't yet decided what form this will take. It might involve a video file of everything in the project up to that point, it might be a video of just that section of the animation. It might have audio, it might not, it might be only voice acting. Don't know what it'll look like quite yet, but it WILL be regular videos for you all!

It's all uncharted waters and testing things out on this project. I'm basing a lot of this off of what other animators I love do, so hopefully it'll work well. Current goal is to have it finished by the end of the year(fingers crossed!).

Also Renamon's Portal Fl*shl*ght Episode 4 is on hiatus for the foreseeable future. I have a script put together for it, but because of the subject matter of gender transformation, it's extremally long compared to my normal videos. Combine that with the new Impmon model I'm not super big on, and it's way too big of a project for the numbers it would do. I do still intend to put a proper ending on the series, but I can't say when or what it'll look like when it happens.
