Few understand how significant this is. I have been on FSD Beta for years now... and I know what it can do.  2 mths back I literally drove 1000 miles at nighttime using 98% FSD.

FSD12 is a step change from that.

The new software version has been rolling out with software update 2023.44.30.11, and the account notes that employees can enroll in the Wave1 program to gain early access to FSD versions and other new features. Wave1 is the group of over 15,000 Tesla employee-owned vehicles that got access to the FSD beta v12.1 in December, stirring speculation of an imminent launch.Teslascope still predicts that FSD beta v12 will go out by the end of January, with v12.1.1 including some important bug fixes from v12.1 based on employee feedback from testing.

Do you think Elon will ever lower the cost of FSD?

FWIW, I don't think FSD is quite ready. I test drove a Model Y with FSD 12 Beta in December in Salt Lake City, Utah while on a skiing vacation with family. Within 10 miles city drive plan it created a safety hazard situation. Tried to take an U-turn in the middle of a busy city road instead of taking a left turn into a parking lot which was the destination of the short trip. The whether was clear that day. Some ice and snow on the road but no fog. Great visibiilty. As the car showed U-turn intention on the screen, it also stopped in the main lane instead of moving over to the lane on the left intended for turns. This caused cars behind me to stop and after a few moments started passing me on both sides. At this point I took over from FSD. It did not make any other obvious mistakes and I believe it will get better, but I would caution from promoting that it is already perfect.
