The last time we saw GBTC Discount levels this low was in early 2021, right before the major Bitcoin bull run!

Feel free to save a copy of the model if you'd like to experiment with it.

Beware of GSOL and GLNK, which are still scams. Yet, despite this, people are getting caught up in the hype and purchasing 0.3SOL for $200... Remember, having knowledge is not just empowering, it’s also financially rewarding.

sorry, kinda new to this but if GBTC is 10% cheaper than BTC then of course, the better bet is to invest in GBTC instead right? Not sure if GBTC price will always lag behind bitcoin by 5-10%? Or will it reach the same level as regular BTC eventually (potentially 1-2% discount at best)

before the liklihood of an etf there was talk/questions as to whether the btc they had covered the actual monies in the fund - ie/ was it 100% backed by btc that they held. that made many leery. with the coming (?) of an etf, they'd have to hold the correct level of btc, ergo - it would seem relatively/more safe now. so each to their own, many prefer 'pure' but many also are happy t sread the love; some btc, some mstr some gbtc. Hence the discount that was about 45-50% last year is evaporating - fast. If etf happens i guess that's a neat 10% gain from where it stands now.

Hi Kaizen Lam. As James has said many times on his show, GBTC is a proxy for BTC. You want to hold the pure form always, i.e. BTC on hardware device (Trezor, Ledger etc.). You can hold some in proxy form (GBTC, MSTR etc) but this should not be more than around 10% of your BTC holdings. This is because holding Bitcoin in proxy form is a risk compared to the pure form, e.g. GBTC may not get a spot ETF or MSTR could go bust. Unlikely but still a RISK. Don't take my word for it, James will repeat this many times on his shows. Not financial advice. Hope that helps.
