Well guess what - it is true - but there is a catch

As Elon says, when you can make a vehicle affordable the TAM (Total Addressable Market) goes to infinity.

Need a good price drop in Australia :(

Anonymous

interesting to think about this price threshold when inflation will soon delivery a $5 orange... And what the fuck is Gareth Spillaway talking about Tesla being a security risk? We are living in truly insane times. I don't even care who the next president is, just give me the chip in the brain and upload me to the dream cloud so i can be on perma vaca

Anonymous

40k would literally be half price in Australia and they are made in China with cheaper labour. Australia used to make its own cars so they added a luxury car tax to assist local manufacturing. They still have the tax but nothing to protect. Still love my Tesla shares. It's an Australian Government problem here.

Time to get me a Tesla, boys!!!!

Anonymous

Bullish

Anonymous

SF resident here.$25k is what I see with gas savings for 6 years. Unless I manipulate my current gasoline expenses and then it makes it look more like $20k. No bells and whistles added.

Tesla on all roads All roads lead to Bitcoin

I was reading that starting in 2024 the credit will be available as a "point-of-sale rebate," which means a car dealership would knock $7,500 off the price of the vehicle and then handle everything with the IRS. That makes it faster and just plain easier to get the credit, without having to wait for a year.

Anonymous

Wish I could pick one up a Tesla for that price here in Germany

Anonymous

Looks like you can also get a used one at least 2yrs old and get $4000 tax credit. 🤔

19k is insane ! That must surely be game over in Cali? EVs are still expensive in UK and there are rumblings about heavy charges per mile over here for EVs .. as cars are a gravy train for our corrupt government… tax on fuel is astronomical, which they will lose, but other taxes and revenues from car drivers is painful.

Anonymous

Absolutely love my Model 3, had it for approaching 3 years now, nothing else I’d rather drive

Anonymous

Two things come to mind here: -the average car in the US is a bit overweight and oversized. Take notice of what the rest of the world is doing, e.g. S-Europe (fiat 500), S-E Asia and especially Japan with its Kei-cars -God I’d love a M3 especially for those prices The upcoming Model 2 will be a telltale sign of whether or not the US is finally ready to take it down a notch..

Anonymous

Yes it won't be long now in the UK before incentives will stop. I also read somewhere that the chancellor Jeremy *unt has already said there's a deficit in tax revenue, if you also include the ultra economical ICEs from the last decade that are now flooding the 2nd hand car market. Meaning even the underpaid cashcow minions can now afford economical low road tax vehicles that also use less fuel.

Anonymous

I'm looking at a new car and it won't be a Tesla because they are so expensive in Australia. So sad

Anonymous

James , do you think being that 50% of the manufacturing is in China, that China could and potentially manipulate Elon Musk at any given time? Say through Twitter , like if you don’t don’t do this for us , then we’re gonna do this to your business?

Anonymous

That information just made this go from really really cool to captain insano cool AF

That's why cigarettes are everywhere despite all science showing death poison....the taxes collected are literally unreplaceable...governments totally suck amirite?

Anonymous

Meanwhile in the UK: Model 3 - £42990 ($55000), Long Range - £50990 ($65000), Performance - £57990 ($74000). Doesn't include any self driving (not even enhanced autopilot). Are we being ripped off? I doubt government grants take $36k off the price in California.

Anonymous

Would love it to be more affordable in Australia

Anonymous

Where I live in Europe I've seen exactly ONE Tesla. Ever. Adoption will take time here, especially given the economic troubles of so many people. US mindset is foreign to most, who are barely getting by.

Anonymous

not likely. this is gareth sollaway fud. china needs all the industry they can get. It's a lose/lose if china kicks out tesla.

Anonymous

Here in Saskatchewan, Canada they have removed all incentives for EVs and even implemented a special EV tax. One city formally ruled to not install any chargers. Fight the future should be our motto. Model 3 starts at 53k CAD, which is on par with every EV.

I am just waiting for my 2006 corolla to give out so that I can get myself a tesla. If anyone can provide me what kind of tesla model I should get, I would greatly appreciate it. I am thinking about getting a model 2 in the future. I have been holding off buying a new car so that I can fill my BTC, SOL, and Tesla asset bags.

Anonymous

Cool username "Palau" I have been to Palau several times before. I am waiting for the Model 2 as well

Anonymous

Smart!!! Keep stacking, you'll be able to by 10 Tesla's🔥🔥 I could buy 1, but now adding to my 💰 Much smarter imo. Why would we want a depreciating asset at this time in the market!!

Anonymous

? Is there a chat group for Patreon

Anonymous

I agree with you. Thank goodness I know how to fix corolla cars , lol. I am trying to increase my tesla bag.

Anonymous

Everything is getting expensive.

Anonymous

Incentives for people to buy things are just plain wrong, among worst kinds of big government stupidity. We pay huge amounts in taxes, for the government to pay people to buy cars, and for the government to build roads, literally funding turning our world into a parking lot and subsidising deadly obesity and environmental destruction (of land and air). The correct way is for governments to highly tax harmful things like vehicles (especially combustion) and gasoline (petrol). If done correctly we can only have consumption taxes and no income taxes.

I'm concerned about

Anonymous

I've been in Italy, Germany, Austria and Switzerland for the last two weeks for vacation and have seen a ton of Tesla

Anonymous

To the point where my wife and I brought it up multiple times. Where are you located?

Anonymous

I had a Corolla that just kept going and going and going, never died. Keep stacking Tesla shares and you will be able to use the gains to pay for a Tesla car.

Anonymous

Hi Leanne I agree with you, thanks for your reply. I rode in a Tesla X fully loaded today, it was super amazing. I wish I had the money to buy one, instead, I am loading my tesla stock bag.

Anonymous

I'm in Spain, not rural Spain but beside a big city. They are so rare to see here.

Anonymous

Went on a cruise to Norway at Easter this year. Saw loads of Teslas

No you are not being ripped off. What this means is that you get tax breaks, "gasoline savings", "Maintenace savings", etc... not really price breaks. After all of those "savings", you will supposedly end up paying something close to "$19,830".... But up front you have to put up something like sixty some thousand....
