I can’t grasp the call options concept. It seems like if the strike price hits and you execute it, what is the result? Will I need to come up with the cash to buy the underlying asset? How are the profits netted? I need like a crayon and paper example.

Great education! Thanks. Warning, i have read in the Economist that full self driving is coming very slowly. And that the economics of robo taxis are worse than the economics of human-driven taxis.

yes. you will need to come up with the cash to buy the shares if the price hits and u execute. If its before expiration and you're in profit on your option, you can simply sell the option and then you do not have to buy all the shares within the contracts at expiry. You should try without money trading. simulated to learn how they work and try

Actually, as I am new here as well, I just explored the community site. Its quite terrible to navigate across these different platforms (patreon, community, discort) why everything is not in one... but It has tons of great info and resources, including the Options 101 classes: https://community.investanswers.io/t/investanswers-resources-links/18000

No problems here. Been playing equities. Have not been paying much attention to crypto for a while now. Everything’s in cold storage.

TSLA at a significant 50% level. I like it.

We must have two different definitions of self-driving. Confusing since Tesla markets level 2 as "full self driving" though a human must be fully attentive and in "control" at all times even though the car is driving itself. That is a great feature by itself! But it still needs a full time human driver. Not to mention that a few companies offer the same thing, but better apparently. But Tesla has the wheels on the road already doing it! I was thinking of vehicles that can drive themselves unattended. That is a very very different thing. The technology we have now will take a very long time to get there. Progress seems to be sub-linear, not exponential. As to robotaxis, level 4 is still a ways off. And the economics? Well guess what just like regular taxis such as Bolt or Lyft they have no way to get customers 24/7. Robotaxis will be sit empty waiting for customers to order. Competing robotaxi companies will ensure that, there are always way too many robotaxis on the road for them to ever make any healthy profit. And governments will enforce competition this time. That is why I say Tesla is not a tech company. Bolt and Lyft are not tech companies. Tech companies have different kinds of economics.
