Bitcoin Scaling has been the main Q mark I have had since 2017.  That could all change.

Wormhole is a SOLANA decentralized bridge that allows users to transfer assets between Solana and other blockchains. It is built on Solana and uses its high throughput and low fees to make cross-chain transfers more efficient and affordable.

Per Austin Federa

Trading bitcoin on Solana is [I rather say COULD BE]

1️⃣ Fast - 400ms

2️⃣ Cheap - $~0.00025 if you're doing $0.10 or $100,000,000 of Bitcoin

3️⃣ Green - trading Bitcoin on Solana uses as much energy as ~2 Google searches

A GAME CHANGER for both BTC and SOL.

Rem also there’s no such thing as a “layer zero” it’s just marketing for an inter-operable L1 so when you hear of SCAMS LIKE ALEPH ZERO just know that it is a scam.

WHAT !!!! This seems like it could be a wonderful thing . Hope this could enable Sol / Btc swaps on ledger .

Anonymous

But aren’t wormholes extremely vulnerable to hacks? Pretty sure most of the big hacks over the last 12 months have been bridges and wormholes being exploited. Would love to hear your opinion.

Anonymous

Woah. We never hear thus kind of news on most YouTube channels.

Anonymous

Potentially very cool 😎 maxis will be angry 😂

Anonymous

Black hole indeed! 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯

Anonymous

Not sure I understand all the details here, but it sounds promising

InvestAnswers

yes they are - but if they tie in directly to BTC and SOL has solid security they may overcome but yes that is the only concern I have

Anonymous

Because bridges have no history of being hacked...just saying...

Anonymous

That would be a match made in heaven if it proves to be secure!

Anonymous

Holy shit James! Does this add to your thesis?

Anonymous

How is the security?

Anonymous

Bought more SOL

Anonymous

I like the sound of that

Anonymous

I like SOL however , I’m not sure it can stand to have any more issues… at all! I hope their devs are really spot on with this wormhole security.🤔😋

Anonymous

As long as like all bridges, can't be exploited? Sounds very promising!

Anonymous

What would lightning network proponents say?

Anonymous

Could be the reason why there was a massive increase in inflows to Solana this week.

Anonymous

Thought we had lightning for this purpose.

Anonymous

That would be a dynamic duo!

Anonymous

I would never put my BTC into a wormhole. Easy way to get it hacked all away. NYKNYC. James you need to to a better job explaining the risks along with the pros. A lot of people here probably dont understand the risks.

Anonymous

That would be AWESOME for solana. But still all speculative , or are there any announcements? I haven’t seen any. THANKS FINE SIR♥️🫡

Anonymous

Thank u soo much 🤓✌️

Good morning James. Potentially also a huge problem in my layman's understanding. The more movingvparts the quicker a machine a breaks. What about a video witj the good the bad and the ugly? Thank you so much

Anonymous

It was my exact answer on Austin's tweet (-:

Anonymous

Question: if that will happen then miners will get hurt badly because it will reduce their fees. What happens next to sustain the network?

Anonymous

Wasn't it only 3 months ago that this was hacked for $320 million?

JE

If this is near bug proof this could be absolutely brilliant!

InvestAnswers

a lot longer than that and Jump Crypto repaid it as they saw the bigger picture. New tech is always buggy - but I am pretty certain their focus on SECURITY is off the charts - far higher than any other bridge

Anonymous

Take about blockchain disruption - this is what is needed to transact in Satoshis all over the world. Rich and Poor win.

Anonymous

Wow, makes so much sense of this can happen.

Anonymous

I rather just hold BTC and use lightning network. If I can't buy coffe or pizza with it, it is not "real" money.

Anonymous

Wormhole has been hacked and also anyone who held wrapped Bitcoin on Solana got rekt when ftx imploded (FTX was issuing the wrapped BTC Solana tokens so people's Bitcoin disappeared into FTX bankruptcy). I would be very cautious with this.

Anonymous

With all due respect you were also pretty sure of Alex from Celsius. Your post above lacks due warning for all the risks called out in the comments :)

Anonymous

Not sure I understand why does BTC need a faster layer 2, if it's mostly a store of value?

Anonymous

Personally I'm happy to use shitcoins (read: Fiat) to buy my coffee and pizza.

Anonymous

Because people have just decided they want to use BTC to store pixels on it.

Anonymous

Will they have a token ?
