NFA: OPTION TRADING IS VERY RISKY, PLEASE DYOR.

I got a second bite at the apple!  Patience....

note the following was not a simultaneous transaction. I sold Google this morning just under 110 and waited for the dip on Tesla and on the pair chart.

Per IADSS all was perfectly in sync.

I did not get 1.52 but I did get 1.53 - that is for every 1.53 shares of Google I got 1 share of Tesla.

I liquidated 50% of my position in Google equity while retaining the remaining half and also holding SL's on Google with expiration date of Jan 2024.

Instead of purchasing Tesla stock, I executed the sale of Jan 2025 $160 Puts and purchase of Jan 2025 $160 Calls at a net debit of $16 per share. The break-even point for this transaction is $176 per share of Tesla by Jan 2025. Based on my assessment that Tesla will surpass $400 by then, I expect this position to yield at least a 1500% return.

Through this strategy, I was able to generate significant cash inflows, and increasing my equity allocation in the market by 35%.

Hey James,Did you Buy and sell to open or buy and sell to close? NOT financial advice 😊

Anonymous

should we be sitting out of the stock market right now if we don't understand options well enough to hedge?

Anonymous

James, can you also give the downside breakeven as well? What will this trade look like if TSLA goes to $50? Your analysis is way too one sided and I'm afraid you will hurt many subscribers

For the calls and puts trade, is it set up in such a way that you will only sell the puts and/or buy the calls if and when they are both fulfilled? That is, how do you ensure you get both and not one or the other?

Anonymous

where are the beginner trades please?

I have numerous stocks such as SHOP, TESLA, APPLE, GOOGLE, AMAZON, DELL, CAT, etc If I was to purchase the IA suite, $235 Cdn., Will it tell me when to buy or sell them? I have been watching TA for some time and am starting to understand it. Do I need to learn more about options prior to purchasing the suite?

If you are bullish then you buy a call. James funded the long call (buy) by shorting a put (selling) it is called synthetic long (SL)

I am so confused... where do I start?

Wow 35% increase in allocation?

Damn James , I know you’re not to wish upon any trade , but I’d wish you could sit along side of me for about 5 months to even get a chance at grasping a fraction of what you’ve learned about options trading , like how to pick the stocks to trade and such , when most accounts starting out are small , where many can’t purchase 100’s of shares of googles, Nvidia’s and Tesla’s first starting out. It’s amazing what you can do

Hi. In the SL on Tesla, how do you not get assigned your put for $160? I was just assigned using a iron butterfly on IWM. Also, how did you get the $16 premium? Low is $18. Thanks

James, I think it's time you do a video on synthetic longs and how to practice risk management on the trade in liquid option contracts/illiquid contracts as well as hedging by adding a 3rd leg to the SL. The videos that are out there on SL's are pretty bad and not up to par with my KPS requirements, lol.

It's at 1.5 now, even better

I would LOVE this. And if you're worried about a public video getting inexperienced folks in options too soon that aren't prepared (a somewhat valid concern), maybe a Patreon only video to test it out and get feedback?

Anonymous

Maybe not best idea - on the next video can you also just give your brief thoughts on bard since it’s got access to Google’s data?
