The primary objective is control and surveillance, with the restriction of significant cash transactions being the initial move. However, even EUR1000 is not considered a substantial amount, representing a small step towards complete authoritarianism.  

The pace at which this is happening is cause for concern. 

The integration of Digital FIAT, CBDC, and control, which would lead to enslavement, is a plausible outcome. I don't intend to sound alarmist, but all evidence points to a potentially bleak and dystopian future.

The answer is people working peer to peer finding a way in a decentralized manner to transact accordingly - just like black markets operate. When there is a will, there is a way.

That means we are all, or at least some many millions of us becoming, at least in their view then, criminals. Will then come a time we must move crypto like BTC Into a digital FIAT to be able to survive in that CBDC anywhere. Woohow.. that is a very bleak future. By rhe way these cash limits are being placed everywhere in Europe as far as I am aware of.

In Greece it is illegal to pay more than 500 Euro. And this has been in force for some years now.

That's insane. It means the Greek People are slaves (or effectively children, wards of the state), forbidden to spend their own fiat as they see fit. They are not allowed (not allowed by whom?) to spend their own fiat. This is tyranny. To accept tyranny is insane, because acceptance of tyranny only guarantees more of it.

In the transition to BTC use/uptake I am thinking that having cash on hand will be important for daily life transactions? Or will it be CBDC only & cash worthless? What happens in that transition phase?

Unfortunately, we have been the ginuea pigs of Europe. Let me tell you something more interesting that probably nobody knows (even some Greeks). The equivalent IRS of Greece is not controlled by the Greek state but it is an independent authority and many of its members are appointed by the EU. Also they have recently sold all non-serving housing debts to vulture funds for pennies of a dollar, without even trying to make a similar settlement with the borrowers. But hell, EU means democracy right and Putin is the authoritarian leader.

Australia made it illegal for us to transact $10K in cash years ago, to counter money launderers. This is an attack on citizens, but crim's take shopping bags full of cash to a Casino or Bank to launder and our useless Gov't regulators (Public Servants) somehow did not know?

The French people need to dust off and sharpen up the Guillotines. Got to give it to the French they take much less 💩 than we do here in the UK. There protesting macron that wef sock puppet. We should be alarmed, at the least be prepared. The majority of society are not the beneficiaries of government actions and laws, but the providers of benefit. Lobby, peacefully protest, vote, relocate. I'm not pro CCP but the world is following much of what they do to oppress their people. Crazy times.

Dude, no disrespect, but constitutions usually get distorted and slightly overruled by subsequent laws. Back to my comment: we all will be criminals because CBDC are ruled and governed by governments and their laws. The whole idea of CBCD is to fight corruption and money laundry, which will never really work, and su much control it will be us as black marketeers swith all other crytpos and our need to use CBDC in order to swap our BTCs into Fiat or digital fiat. Enough politics. It is Easter and let us all try to recover our losses and make some profits and have a wonderful Easter. :)))

The UK is focusing too much on the outcome (strikes for pay rises) as opposed to the cause. In fact very few people (if any?) are genuinely protesting the cause globally. Trudeau made me chuckle (not in a good way) as he basically gave everyone, including those who had no idea of the controls that were coming, the blueprints of what’s ahead. I’m sure his truckers response was not appreciated by other heads of states. But damn he did a good job of giving everyone the heads up on what it’s going to look like.
