So much anti trust attention on FB right now :/ ...and much of their revenue drivers also goes against recent social trends like privacy, not to mention they have so much pressure on policing the platform What are your thoughts Win?

As a primary care doctor, I've used telemedicine some recently and I, personally, am not a fan. You have to lay hands on your patient. Listen to heart, lungs, abdomen. Abdominal exam involves palpating, pressing legs to check for swelling, etc. I've discovered serious medical problems just by doing a physical exam. I agree telemedicine is taking off right now but I can't imagine there won't be some push back from physicians.

I don't like FB so as an investment its not for me anyway. Been following TDOC but with Amazon expanding their Amazon Care, would think they would be up against some stiff competition.

I don't get the big deal with teledoc There are quite a few good competitors like doctor on demand which i have been using for over 3 years now

Other than watching and wondering how much ARK keep DCA on TDOC, I don’t have position yet. ARK also has positions in VEEV and HIMS, with later sold out by ARK during the mini-crash in their ARKG. The value of TDOC to me is like my HMO’s mobile APP. ARK may think otherwise, cause it is now their 3rd largest position in its ARKK ETF, right after Tesla and Square. It will be good to learn more insight on TDOC in Patreon.

I think ARK are keen on TDOC primarily because of the Livongo deal, which confers significant advantages over other telemeds. Just to chime in my two cents regarding FB, while I agree with everything that’s been said thus far, ‘our’ opinions of FB only represent a niche minority: FB is global, people in less developed countries rely on FB for communication and subscriptions are constantly increasing. Their business model is beautifully simple and their balance sheet unmatched. They will imo continue to do very well.

On Friday I bought Dec2022 $190 strike LEAPS on TDOC for $56 I am in the healthcare business, mainly consulting to Pharma and sometimes to others like hospital networks and insurers. Did some work on digital health involving TDOC. I agree with Dr. Carlos on the hands on approach, but this was covered by TDOC during COVID and is not the intention as the core of business. The core is in chronic disease like what the are doing with Livongo in diabetes, and in patient monitoring where a physical is not required. I also expect them to go heavy on decentralized clinical trials using wearable data integrated into their platform. The clinical trial area is hot right now as decentralized will save Pharma companies hundreds of millions. I was waiting for an opportunity to invest in TDOC and found it on Friday. They are only starting and I think they will at least x15 in the next 10 years. Sorry I am not providing all the details here, I am typing this on my phone while still in bed, haha. Regarding FB, my investment buddy still laughs at me since he tried to convince me to invest in them when the were $17! I refused because I hated them then as I do now. I said I have values 🤔 and I don’t regret it. I put my money into TSLA instead. I think they will shrink, everyone I know is leaving their platforms. Me 13yo said that FB is for old geezers! Her age group does not use it, they prefer other platforms to Instagram, and they don’t even download Watapp...

What's about AONE and FATE that ark bought. Are any of them a good buy in your opinion?

For anyone who may not know. ARK publishes their buys/sell every day --- how is that for transparency. You can sign up and get them emailed to you every market day after the close. As I recall the signup is somewhere fairly obvious on the ark invest web site. Just remember they traded aggressively around their positions so a sell does not necessarily mean they have lost faith. They have sold more TSLA than all of us combined will ever own. In that case sometimes it is to scale back so it does not hang above 10% too long.

Great info. thanks for sharing Karlo. Cathie seems something special in TDOC - so next time I see it at $186 I may buy some LEAPS. The chart looks good and it is beaten down nicely. Hard to believe it was over $300 on Feb 21.

Thank you for the feedback! I really want to learn options, puts, etc. I'm kind of lost when it comes to such. I've heard some brokers let you do paper trading for practice.

It's typical for CW to sell and then buy again and sell again, etc. They are quite actively managing their positions. So, I don't believe for a minute that she closed all FB positions. Think that they took out profits again.

I just checked, as of Friday's close ARK still holds 496,349 shares of FB -- not exactly sold out! I have to repeat my warning. Don't assume when ARK sells they are selling out. They trade around their positions very actively for a number of very good reasons.
