Google Remains the wild card.

I nearly bought PLTR at $20.01 but limit did not fill Friday.

I own Google.

Google has a massive advantage in terms of knowledge and resources.

However ... the opportunity he highlighted is spot on. The whole signal identification and tech needed to access the data is a massive problem.

Palantir's Value Explained

UPDATE: I love being right! PLTR announced it's going after ERP space. I bought long and hard on the dip today. Check it: https://medium.com/palantir/launching-erp-suite-to-deliver-cost-savings-for-aws-customers-ceed6e6dd927 In this video, I break down Palantir's value for modern business and software developers. Business is changing, and so is software. Signal data driving autonomous business transactions using Palantir and HyperLeger Fabric is the future of brininess and the death of ERP and CRM as we know it. Apollo explained: https://medium.com/palantir/a-sky-full-of-clouds-218b9db3f735 Palantir's open-source home: https://github.com/palantir/

One of the things I enjoy the most about investing are videos like this and the research into companies that can help inform your own DD but also develop a broader picture of the world and where we are potentially headed in the future. You can pick up so much information on companies like Palantir (some of it useless and mind boggling) but it certainly helps to keep the mind sharp.

Fantastic overview of Palantir did not realize they created the typescript and react ??

Also who gave this overview is this dude in YouTube ?

Blockchain in enterprise has been very confusing it will be interesting to see how the Knowledge graph fits the blockchain narrative

Thanks for sharing James. Another very informative drill down on a company i own.

Very interesting, lots of information to digest but definitely helps to understand Palantir's business. Very excited and can't wait for Monday! Picked up some shares on Friday @ $22, I think teaming up with AWS for ERP Suite will give it a nice boost.

Palantir created a linter for typescript and some toolkit for React, but not the Typescript or React itself

He may know about Palantir but his history of Amundsen is wrong. It was Shackleton expedition that got crush in the Antarctic Ice.

Great and detailed perspective, thanks for sharing!

One challenge they may have is the developer adoption of their tools compared to AWS and GCP even if they nail it , the inertia in the enterprises will be a challenge not to be underestimated. No wonder we still have legacy software far so long.

So you wouldn’t invest at the current $24 price?

As a software engineer, I should say that after watching this video I still don’t understand what Palantir does. For me it’s too abstract. What is their core product and what problem they solve? How the government data they got access to is useful? Author of the video mentions he doesn’t have Palantir software, he only “thinks” that this is what they do

What does this mean for CRM (Salesforce)? For example, they are relying heavily on their AI tools. Does that change the perspective?

I did a PLTR Jun 22 18/45 Bull Call spread with a BE of 24 in late Feb. I wonder if I should close the 45?

Have a look at this - it's kind of a real-world version of the machine from Person of Interest... Which is pretty cool... Or terrifying... Or both... And their AI is likely reading all these messages we're writing about it, in which case, hi Palantir! I think you're cool :D https://theintercept.com/2017/02/22/how-peter-thiels-palantir-helped-the-nsa-spy-on-the-whole-world/

It’s at $24 now? Thinks it’s a £1000 12 month hold?

How do folks feel about Palantir’s ties to the CIA, the military and their surveillance capabilities in general? I’m not saying their tech can’t be useful and operate within positive ethical boundaries, but there are certainly reasons to be wary. Personally, I’m looking forward to a more decentralized future where I can own and control my data. I’m not sure about Palantir from a private citizen POV, which gives me pause as an investor. Here’s an article that mentions some of these concerns: https://www.opendemocracy.net/en/digitaliberties/five-reasons-to-worry-about-spy-tech-firm-palantir-handling-your-nhs-data/

My own ethical bias would prevent me also... Definitly a no brainer from an investment point of view and the Tech is amazing... Would have to research more to decide...I try to support projects fitting my alteristic world view... Cue music....Imagine all the people.....

In my day job I work on the Data Infrastructure side dealing with AWS, SnowFlake, Hadoop, Kafka, etc., and this is scary/exciting.

I've got the full Palantir Demo Day recording on my YT channel. If people interested. It was honestly mind blowing. Just search my user name on YouTube, you'll find it in my videos

No thanks. Disappointed to see investments relating to companies involved in mass surveillance and infringement of civil liberties. Are we going to be seeing investment opportunities for arms dealers next? Crypto and DeFi is fundamentally opposed to this type of world. The ethics and ethos of this group is important so I wouldn’t continue subscribing if future content was at such jarring odds with key core principles.

I see this as technology innovation vs Nanny state !! Please do not discourage Investanswer this is the best content of all. Please do post more of these types it was actually so exciting i listened to the video 3-4 times very important thinking. Great presentation.

I agree this is very interesting from someone who is a (insider to the industry) as a software architect. What's more interesting from my perspective is numerous crypto companies are changing the paradigm shift in the way traditional business systems operate in silos using private resources versus crypto companies operate using open public resources, the blockchain and other technology to compete with public companies systems such as Palantir. Actually , his explanation of Palantir sounded similar to a business system that operates using open public resources.

We are fully aligned. I think I may keep my GOOG stock. Was going to sell it to buy BTC :D

Fantastic video, thanks for sharing. Heavily invested in both GOOGLE and PLTR. Would love to get your thoughts on FIL and it’s potential to compete w AWS and Azure.
