But the real point: rotating the $50 tiers. Anyone who has the slot right now, please lower your pledge before the month ends and it charges you again.

People looking to take over the spot, wait until January 1st to fill up the spots. Same thing; don't want to charge you twice. Trying to keep it available for everybody while not having to refund or double charge people.
