This guide will show you how install ReShade correctly, how to apply my preset, and how to install any additional mods that I use.

Removing ReShade

If you have ReShade installed already, you have to remove it. This will insure that you will have no issues or bugs with your game.

1. Download the latest version of ReShade from https://reshade.me/

2. Open the installer and you will be prompted to find the game. To locate GTAV, press on the 'Browse' button. This should open the file explorer.

3. Locate where you have installed GTAV; open the GTA folder, and select 'GTAV.exe' or 'GTAV' . Press next.

4. You will be given 4 options, select the second one (DirectX 10/11/12). Press next.

5. Press 'Uninstall' then press next.

Now you have successfully uninstalled ReShade from GTAV. Now we need to install ReShade to GTAV.

Installing ReShade

1. Open the installer and you will be prompted to find the game. To locate GTAV, press on the 'Browse' button. This should open the file explorer.

2. Locate where you have installed GTAV; open the GTA folder, and select 'GTAV.exe' or 'GTAV' . Press next.

3. You will be given 4 options, select the second one (DirectX 10/11/12). Press next.

4. It will ask you to select a preset. Press 'Browse' and select my preset file (HBoy's QuantV Preset). Press next.

5. Now you will be given a list of shaders to select, please go through the list and select all of them or else the preset will not work. Press next.

6. To get RayTracing in ReShade, you have to purchase this mod from here - https://www.patreon.com/mcflypg

7. Locate where your GTAV is installed, and open 'reshade-shaders' place the RayTracing mod files corresponding to where they are in the download.
