Lori's Hat

A mass produced leather hat with a soft lining and a wide brim. Of a style common to Taniar Demesne and surrounding regions. Useful for keeping off rain and snow.

A gift from her mothers, it has been in Lori's possession for many years, its life extended by regular maintenance with milliners and the Deadspeakers employed therein to repair the leather.

Heatstroke can cause damage to the brain due to swelling, possibly resulting in permanent damage. Magic is controlled by the brain, and sufferers of heatstroke often forget they possess it.

Rian's Glowing Rock

A simple river rock on which are anchored lightwisps to provide illumination in the hours of night. Given to Lord Rian, first lord of the demesnes known as Lorian and River's Fork.

Rian has difficulty sleeping in a completely dark room, lest the things that hide in the dark devour him without warning. In the light, at least, he might see them coming.

When three came to live in his house, he did not dissent for he did not wish to dwell alone. Yet every day, guilt gnaws at him, for he takes advantage and gives nothing back.

While many claim that Rian is a traveler from another world, such rumors are wrong. And quite frankly, a very silly.

Shanalorre's Glowing Rock

A simple river rock on which are anchored lightwisps to provide illumination in the hours of night. Given to Shanalorre, formerly Dungeon Binder of the demesne known as River's Fork. Within the confines of Lori's demesne, it aids the Dungeon Binder in knowing the location of the savant.

When she was younger Shanalorre liked climbing trees, and River's Fork was built to help facilitate this. Few know the upper branches of the dome of that demesne as she does. Only she and her parents have seen the stars from the highest point of the demesne's dome.

At the peak of dome, above where Shanalorre once made her home, flowers bloom and fruit, a secret hidden pantry for the family. It grows still, it's bounty gathered by Shanalorre every four days to help provide more food for the demesne.
