Have some random Demesne Trivia!

Rian is basically the Help/Tutorial of a 'System' in the form of a human. He can be found in the Options Menu, under the Accessibility Tab. Just enable 'understand people'. For those who keep asking, Accessibility is not the same as an easy mode. Demesne will NEVER have an easy mode. Git gud.

Lori can be interpreted many ways. One of them is 'if Yunyun and Megumin were rolled into one person, as written by writer who doesn't get the point of Konosuba and wants it to be (serious) and (dramatic)'. I'm not that person, but I've stopped reading the works of such people in great disgust. Reminds me too much of late 90''s/early 2000's Ranma fanfic writers.

Shanalorre is basically best girl Jack the Ripper with long hair. Her name is derived from another best girl.

Nearly all named characters have a meaningful name. ALL NAMED. Just because Lori forgets their name doesn't mean I do. The potter is named because of a certain stop-motion animation character, for example. And because I considered 'Harry' or some variant to be too easy and showing a lack of appreciation for the many years of good civilization. I literally have a list of names, all meaningful, but to both prevent name overload and because Lori doesn't care, it'll be a while before you learn them.

The Mysteries of Alknowledge, as mentioned in various part of the story, is a religion who practice the scientific method. Their overarching religious goal is to gather all knowledge (alknowledge) in the universe, and unite it into a single coherent system. What happens after that is highly debated and has led to the group dividing between sects according to what they intend to do after that point. Some believe creating such as system will allow them to finally answer the question of 'why am I here'/'where does humanity belong'/etc, as such a modeled system will finally indicate such. Other believe that having such a system, containing all knowledge that exists, will allow them to predict how the universe will react to anything, allowing them to finally work out the optimum path to universal peace/happiness/understanding/conquest/etc. Another group believe that in knowing how everything works, they will have all the information they need to create a new universe. All groups agree, however, that the completion of such a system is a LONG way into the far future, so there's no hard schisms on this. Most divisions are caused by disagreements on the validity of certain forms of testing.

Riz has a sister. Umu has two siblings. Mikon is an only child, but has seven cousins, all female.

Karina is the daughter of a farmer. She has four siblings.

Yllian is married, and has a stepson.

And... that's it. Ask me for more, and if it's not a spoiler I'll try to answer. Or ask me anyway to find out if it IS a spoiler. See you tomorrow on Maria day.

No, because the presence or absence of gods has no bearing on the matter.

Are there any records of a time when the Iridescence didn’t exist? Because it doesn’t seem like the sort of thing humans could have evolved naturally with, it feels like a post-apocalyptic sort of thing.

You’re not the only reader who thinks so. But no, there are no records of a time without Iridescence, if any such time ever existed…
