𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝:

✔️ 1. Two different key binds for rotating left and right.  Example:  bind "Capslock" "+left"   bind "alt" "+right"  Feel free to assign any buttons you feel comfortable with.  (You can add those 2 commands inside your steamapps\common\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\cfg\autoexec.cfg)

✔️ 2. Getting a proper angle for executing the jump (that means you should have good aiming skills in general). You will need an angle of between around 11.40 and 12.40 degree.  You can see your current angle with this command: "cl_showpos 1"  When you start with the ceil-jumping, you need to move left and right with the 2 binds. Note: Make sure you don't move up or down with your mouse because that will ruin the proper angle and you will fall.  ✔️ 3. Good Ping: The lower your ping is, the less clicks you will need to do per sec to execute this properly. (On local servers is really easy for that reason). If you play with orange or red ping, you will need a lot faster mouse clicking and at some point it will become impossible to hold  "onto the ceiling".

✔️ 4. Some jumps require a lot of extra hunter skills (like "kai jumping", using invisible walls and others).

✔️ 5. A lot of patience. (it takes a lot of practice). _________________________________________________________________________

 𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬:

- You don't need any script or anything to execute those jumps perfectly fine.

 - On vanilla servers, if you get shot while ceil-jumping, you will instantly fall (this applies for all kinds of hunter jumping techniques).

There are many other places you can take advantage from to execute the "ceiljumping" technique, many different areas throughout the entire game and all of it's official campaigns, including a high variety of invisible walls that you can use to land regular pounces, either by vertical/kai jumping, or by the easiest method - walljumping. Feel free to explore the maps on your own, the examples showed in this video are simply my top picks that I personally find practical or fun/challenging to execute.

Résumé: „Ceiljumping“  as a whole is not very practical way of putting your Hoodie in good use, not only executing these "ceiljumps" can take a lot of time, but there's no assurance that you'll eventually hit anything, as landing 25 pounces is much harder this way opposed to using regular invisible walls, which, albeit being situated, offer much better mid-air control, are easier to land your pounces from and if you miss, it's not that much of a hassle to try again. Then there's also the "team aspect" of the game, meaning that while you are ceiling (or trying to..), the rest of the team is incapable of synchronizing their attacks with you (and so you are..), which leads to the infected team actively missing 1 player, since you are wasting your time with something that requires needless amount of effort than simply selecting a building and leaping from it to cover other infected/to work as a team in general. That's not to say using this technique can't prove useful, as long as you can "get hold of the ceiling" quickly, you are given the opportunity to descend upon the survivors in ways they would likely not expect, not to mention you can land 25 pounces there where it might not normally be possible, as ceiling across the map gives you the freedom to choose when and where you land. However, if you happen to play against competitive/skilled players, you should focus more on swift and sudden attacks, it is always much more profitable to land fifteen damage pounce now, than trying to land your 25 for half the chapter and missing or getting sniped anyway. By forming a synced attack with your teammates, you are more likely to cause additional damage and allow other infected to play their roles, as you cover them, or do hunter-spitter combos. While "ceiljumping" looks cool and is enjoyable to do, there are more practical and faster ways to deliver your damage and be a valuable asset to your team. After all, your casual teammates will appreciate it a lot more when you cover them and play as a team, rather than staying in the back, trying to "lock on". :)
