Dardove

- When you were trying to think of songs named Wave, I was wondering if you would bring up Pado. It does indeed mean wave. - Wave is an original song, while the rest are covers. Jeong Sewoon is an artist under Starship which probably made it easy for her to get him to join him. - For all of the rounds, Moonbyul was either 5-0 or 0-5 (not including the final round which was done a different way) along with getting a perfect score from the streaming audience. - The original for JooE's song was Koyote which is a first gen mixed-gender group. They are still active as a three-member group and one of the members does a lot of variety shows. - Dramarama is a pretty big Monsta X song. So you are correct about being from a boy group. - Seonyou certainly killed it. Surprised she didn't any votes from the judges. - IIRC Mimi took inspiration from La La Land for this performance, which is why tap dancing was included. - Loving the Leebada cover by Moon Sua. She is an artist I got to know about recently after she appeared on another competition show (Artistock). If you want to check her out, she does have a Killing Voice from a few years ago (to go with the release of this song). I think you guys might enjoy her. Leebada also recently released an MV a few weeks ago (which was several weeks after the album release for some reason). - Yubin was against Moon Sua, so maybe a little easier of a match than against Moonbyul (but she still lost). The only reason this round was called a death match was that the three with the lowest overall score would get eliminated. - Moonbyul's performance was so powerful. - I suggest checking out this video which was the segment where she prepare for this performance. She also talks about her trainee days (the subtitles aren't the best but are better than nothing): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JxNESpeJuT8 - It song is about comfort from a hard day. The clips were from them answering the question "How did you persevere today?" and were pretty much talking about what helps them get through the day things like going for drinks with friends, their puppy waiting for them at home, and making progress in their goals. - While you might know the song, you certainly know the artist for U-Go-Girl. It was originally by Lee Hyori. I know Itzy Yuna recently did a cover of it too. - AoA originally started out with a band component so most members can play an instrument. - This version was really cool. - Moonbyul won it for sure. - Next up is the final with the final 5. - So the second half of episode 9 (since most of the death matches were in episode 8) featured their camping trip which included the judges facing off against each other and the girls picking a winner. its kinda funny and weird to me to know just random words in other languages, most of the time its because of various songs lol - i think its cool that even tho they were mostly all covers they still felt original.. granted i didnt know the original of any besides the Sunmi song, but they still felt like each person own song. - to me the scoring seems pretty crazy, and why even have an elimination.. just let them all do that last performance.. i couild understand if they had a large pool to start with and regularly elimnated ppl.. but to only start with 8 and then eliminate 3 before the last performance seems dumb af to me tbh and kinda disrespectful to both the artists and the fans. - on the note of scoring and elimination: while i can understand Jimin being polarizing musically with her choices here and her singing tone.. but i think a lot of her performances were my favorites of the round and for sure the ones i have revisited the most... you think that there is still some bias against her because of her alleged past and whatnot?.... and how tf is Seonyou one of the ones eliminated? i thought she was very impressive the entire time - i would like to see a good coed group.. i really tried hard to get into Kard but none of it ever really stuck with me - ill for sure check out Leebada killing voice sooner than later - i completely agree that Moonbyul's performance was super powerful.. i didnt have to look up the lyrics or meaning to feel that.. im soooooo happy to see her in her current state, she seems to be killing it from every angle.. im excited for the upcoming Mamamoo+ thing again, their duo stuff is always awesome. Have you seen hers and Solar's part switch video on solars channel? that was a alot of fun - i only know a few Lee Hyori songs, but i like all the ones i can think of, so i guess ill add this one to that list lol - thats cool that AoA started like that too, i know Wondergirls was like that, coming from a rock and metal background i dont know how i feel sometimes about groups that do that... on one hand when done well it can be a cool pop band that is fun to watch and listen to.. if off even a lil bit tho it can easily feel forced, fake and unnessicary - those campfire type songs were cool.. my favorite by far is that duet with Jung Eunji and Jung Yeop, they both sounded great and unique together - im looking forward to checking out the last performances (even tho i think there should be 8 lol) Ill prolly try to check it out tomorrow night after work, its gonna be a busy weekend with the Dreamcatcher concert... im super excited for that.. also just bought tickets to see Pixy at the end of April
