- So while the guys were drinking, he remarked that the alcohol still tastes sweet. Soju is a pretty bitter drink, but their life is so bitter that it makes the alcohol taste sweet. I believe it is a somewhat common phrase in Korea to talk about the woes in ones life while drinking soju. - That scene with the hammer was certainly interesting and not how I expected it to play out.
