Well, I didn't expect an episode focused on Cally to end up being so thrilling, twisty, and tragic.  Great episode!

Tory being one of the revealed Cylons at the end of Season 3 got some criticism for being meaningless since we barely ever got to know her, especially compared to her predecessor Billy. But here’s where you really start to see the advantage of including her. With just about any other character, it would come off as horribly out of character to be so open to embrace being a Cylon and doing evil things to protect the secret, but since we hardly knew anything about her anyway, who’s to say this isn’t just what she was always like? It was originally scripted for Tyrol to kill Cally in self-defense when she went on her whole murder-suicide thing, but thankfully they came to their senses and realized how much better this worked for everyone, especially since there’s now this secret hanging over them that you know will drive Tyrol berserk if he ever finds out. The one downside is it’s quite a bit harder to feel bad for Cally now that we know what a horrible person her actress is, and there’s even a certain twisted satisfaction to see her going through the same emotional abuse and gaslighting she inflicted on so many others in real life.

Umm the actress is not a horrible person. She was the victim of a cult
