SARAH JANE!!!! This was a wonderfully campy and emotional episode. Even for someone who has never seen Sarah Jane before you could feel the history and emotion behind this reunion and it flawlessly paid tribute to what was while setting up what's to come. 👏

This episode was quite an important one as it's the first time we've truly connected the 2 series of Classic Who and NuWho together. Introducing Sarah Jane was on one hand complete fan service, but on the other it's Russel's way of saying "yes, this really is a continuation and not a new show." Although you mildly spoiled who she is during your research, it was actually pretty nice to see you instantly understand what was happening when the Doctor met her. Many other reactors spend a lot of the episode questioning is she a really a former companion that it's difficult for them to just kick back and enjoy story as it unfolds. Also, it's great to when a Buffy fan starts reacting to Doctor Who because I love watching their faces light up when they see Anthony Stewart Head in this episode.

I'm glad I'm watching this again because I don't remember this episode at all. This is a new one for me
