Volume 1 & 2 are definitely one more, not two! While the previous installment brought the action opening, this one brought the story, the drama, and the five point palm exploding heart.

Story! So. I was a single girl in the hospital in labor, waiting for my mother to finish filling out the gobs of paperwork. Then she was going to a hotel with my sister until I called them to say it was time to come back. Anyway. I was in for a long night alone and found a Kill Bill complete marathon (with both movies playing back to back TWICE, until 4am) on Spike TV. If you never were exposed to Spike TV in the early 2000s...well...it was a pool of testosterone covered in Cheeto dust, generally. BUT. These were my absolute favorite movies...and...I was in incredible intermittent pain. So, I turned the volume up as far as the hospital TV would allow and I watched both parts, complete with ninja warrior and man-show commercials. And it made me feel...powerful. I can't really describe it. Combination of the pain meds and the barely darkened hospital room where I was the only one there, it was an interesting experience. I do remember scaring the pants off of the shift nurse when she came to check on me at 2am and found me basically in a crazed state watching Beatrix getting buried alive. Ah. Life. It's fun. ;) (The boy is 17 now and has heard this story enough times to roll his eyes when I start to tell it. So, thanks for the outlet.)
