Rock Opera? Phantom? Evil? Romance? I knew this would be a unique experience, but it was simultaneouely more fun and darker than anticipated. Thanks g g gooding for this selection.

Couple other silly trivia nuggets: The opening narration is by Rod Serling: The Twilight Zone guy. The wedding assassination at the end is *very* inspired by The Manchurian Candidate. (The camera shots are nearly identical.) The Juicy Fruits are "the band" thtoughout the entire movie. Joke being that they're a manufactured no-name product. When Beef is introduced, they all have bandages on - from the explosion in the preceeding scene. The actor playing Beef (one of my all time favs!) was choice #2 for The Riddler, after Robin Williams , in the Val Kilmer Batman train-wreck. But...Jim Carrey was famous and Gerrit Graham (who? Oh...Beef) ain't.

Of course it's the twilight zone guy! Perfect. I wish anyone would have been the riddler, but Jim Carey. I like Jim Carey, but he's Jim Carey 🤣. Which is fine if he's an original character, but it's hard to see him as someone I know in a different form.

Dude! You joked about the Phantom inspiring Vader, which I laughed off. Good joke, Chris! But then I got to thinking...thinking led to googling...and I learned two things: Brian DePalma wrote the opening scroll to A New Hope! The editor of A New Hope and Phantom (same guy) asked George if Vader is the Phantom and Lucas allegedly said, "I guess so." 🤯🤯🤯
