It’s time to start going through Quentin Tarantino films properly. This was a fascinating look at a crime gone wrong and it was an amazing experience! Although, I’m not sure if I can forgive Quentin for making me have so much fun during *THAT* scene.

Planning to do 1 Tarantino a month for now.

While the remake won't happen the premake (not a word) exists. 1974's Rabid Dogs is a huge influence on this. Italian filmmaker Mario Bava was a genre film genius. His '65 film Planet of the Vampires is source material for Alien. Blood and Black Lace basically created the Giallo subgenre. Danger: Diabolik is like if Austin Powers was a badass thief? Kinda? And *all* of his films end with a surprising twist that you won't see coning - Rabid Dogs' is a brilliant cherry on the cake that subtly alters the entire film. He's too obscure for reactions, sadly, but certainly worth seeking out. Genuine art in his filmmaking + they're superfun!

It's a bit funny that you only know Harvey Keitel as "the guy from Pulp Fiction" because when this movie came out, he was easily the most recognizable actor. He's a Scorsese regular going all the way back to his first film Who's That Knocking At My Door, and was the villain of Ridley Scott's The Duellists.
