A wildly entertaining "mockumentary" about small town production hoping to make it to the big time. Wonderful cast, and a dry humor that had me rolling.

Christopher Guest has done several movies like this, made by just mapping out the general plot movement and then letting the actors improvise the particulars of each scene. The musical itself was the only thing written before the cameras rolled. This means that you occasionally get weird lines that go nowhere, but it all just adds to the absurd world he’s created.
