Buckle up! May is almost here and things are about to get a little bit crazy. Yea, I'm excited about the slate of films we have coming up!

First off, you guys voted for Back to the future as the winner of the rewatch poll and I'm so hype to revisit this trilogy. I may have already watched the first and it's as good as I remember.

Scream may not have won the poll, but it did far better than I expected and it sparked an idea. I'm not as familiar with the series and I want to react to the latest installment so for the first time ever allow me to introduce to you...

"SCREAM WEEK". In one week I will release reactions the first five movies leading up to the Saturday premiere of my first time watching Scream 6. I'm going on faith a bit that the 6th one will be released in time to sit perfectly between BSG season 1 and 2 which is also right before the start of the Marvel show Secret Invasion.

I'm also excited to unleash my reactions to Gattaca and The Host as well as whatever movie wins the THRILLER poll.

We're of course continuing Battlestar Galactica! I'm having such a great time watching it and I'm so excited about moving from the first season into the second. I can't wait to see how they handle finales and premieres! Ran into more copyright issues for episodes 6-10, may have to skip a week on YouTube, but if they all clear I'll release 2 episodes the following week.

I also hope to finally edit and begin releasing the rest of Andor by the end of May

Patrons, thank you so much for your support! It's a joy getting to hangout with you and watch these films. You are appreciated! Never hesitate to reach out if you need anything, or have any suggestions on how to improve things around here!

Much love!

Chris

Sunday Polls:

Thriller Poll: Choose between a selection of thrillers! (ok, didn't need the description, but I felt the post looked better if the two polls both had descriptions that were at least somewhat comparable in length. I'd have fallen a bit short fell short on this one without this sentence.)

Exclusive Poll: It's time to release a patreon exclusive into the wild. There's been a solid handful of films I've released only on Patreon, originally I promised 6 months exclusivity on them, but for some of them it's been a year already. You get to choose which one to edit and set free.

I only saw the first Scream, when I was 15 or so and didn't care for it. (But I was 15...I was a moron at the time). Never saw any of the further ones. Y'all are convincing me that I missed out. Cool! Something "new" to enjoy, I hopes.

The only reason I ever watched scream in the first place is my friend said it was a little meta, playing with tropes of the genre. My memory is pretty fogged, but I’m pretty sure when o caught them on tv I didn’t know the tropes of the genre 😅

Meta Horror *is* one of my favorite things...from Peeping Tom to Return of the Living Dead to Anguish to The Laughing Woman to Waxwork to Gremlins 2 to Tucker and Dale and a bunch more no one's ever heard of! I look forward to giving the Scream movies a shot!

Scream 6 was released today, so this works out great.
