I've been convinced to watch the whole franchise and here we are! Another thrill ride with an intriguing premise and a strong emotional core. Did I like it more than the first? When we're talking about 2 great movies is the question even relevant?

The bad guy, Joss Ackland ("diplomatic immunity"), is in more than 200 movies and shows.
His greatest role, clearly , was playing God in The Apple.

From now on I would like every movie to be 7 degrees of separation fro the apple. 🤣 It probably wouldn't even be that hard! He was a great performer though!

Chris...you know I love ya, brother...but you just mistaked into giving me a challenge.
You'll never watch The Apple (fair) but...7 degrees? I'll make the game way harder...4 degrees. If I can do this 10 times tho...you owe me a movie choice (won't be The Apple.)

Also you don't owe me a half-fart, of course. But 4 degrees to The Apple. Game on!

I don't mean to make you regret replying to me...

Ryan

An easy cheat is The Apple's lead star Catherine Mary Stewart was in The Last Starfighter with Robert Preston, which gives you a link to a ton of older stuff. Like, he was in How the West was Won with Debbie Reynolds, who was in Singin' in the Rain.

Ryan: she was also in Weekend at Bernie's and Night of the Comet.
And indeed, Robert Preston links to almost, literally everyone in one jump.

Whoa, wait...you've seen The Apple, Ryan?

Vladek Sheybal from The Apple alo links all over the place. Red Dawn, From Russia With Love, Casino Royale, etc.

The fella that did the music to The Apple did all the Austin Powers movies.
4 links is arguably too easy.

Ryan: Musical Hell kinda rangles me; but I enjoy their jazz. They complain when they could celebrate, instead. The Apple is stupid. Phantom of the Paradise is illogical. Busby Berkey? Ken Russell's movies have too many penises...sure.
ok

Let's celebrate, tho, rather than complain. Everything is bad, sure, 💩.

Do tell: what's good?
