Tim Robbins and Paul Newman deliver in this thought provoking Comedy brought to us by the Coen Brothers. I'd never heard of this one, but it proved to me once again I need to watch more of their films.

*This is yet another Warner Brothers film where you get a slightly extended reaction as they have become very strict with manual copyright claims.

While you're on the Paul Newman run, The Hustler/Color of Money movies are, IMHO underrated.

Funny thing I finally realized watchin with ya, Chris...
Stay with me: Moses is "God" in the microcosm of Hudsucker and Aloysius (the janitor who scrapes names off doors) is "The Devil". And hence their battle within the clock for the soul of the "world" at the end.

But the joke that finally hit me: Norman (Norville!) is saved as he fails (falls!) by a Deus ex machina...in this case: literally the "God from the machine"! 👏👍🤯

Not to mention the Hitchcock flick Torn Curtain, starring Newman...which (hoops within hoops) heavily inspired the Coens' first film, Blood Simple.
