This was far darker and dense than I anticipated. I for sure missed a few details and I won't pretend to have followed everything, but Bogart and Bacall definitely delivered with charisma and dialogue has rarely been sharper!

haha yea, I caught it as I reviewed some of the scenes again making this full length. I talked right over that line and didn't hear it. Some older films have different pacing than I'm used to and I do that sometimes. 😬

(I'll keep this spoil-free, just in case.)<p>Big Sleep is legendarily confusing with good reason(s). Example: the screenwriters couldn't work out who killed a certain character in the book, so they called Chandler (the author) to ask. He yelled at them to learn to read. Then a while later Chandler called them back, apologizing; after checking his own book he admitted that <i>he also</i> didn't know who killed the character. 🤗</p><p>So definitely don't sweat being unsure of the entire plot...you're in good company.</p>

Haha that’s an Incredible story! I know exactly which murder you’re referring to. I definitely felt a little better after researching the film a little bit after.
