I've been waiting for this one! Honestly, it felt like an organic next step after Spaced and it lived up to (surpassed?) my already high expectations!

Yes, it's called the Cornetto trilogy just because the ice cream makes an appearence in all three movies. In Hot Fuzz it was what Nick Frost got at the convenience store (and gave him brain freeze) and in The World's End it's literally just a wrapper blown up against a fence at the end. There were a couple of Dawn Of The Dead references you will likely get on later viewings. The nice thing is, this movie has the most rewatch potential of any movie I've seen. Literally everything - every joke, every line of dialogue - in the first half is the set up to a payoff in the second half. Just as in Shaun's hungover trip to the shop when he is oblivious to the zombie apocalypse, it basically repeats all the encounters he had in his first trip. I think this was the first movie I bought after moving to the UK, and I love it to this day!

I love that such a small detail became the title for the trilogy, but that’s how focused and great these movies are. Hot fuzz was the same way. Some of the best writing I’ve seen. I was disappointed that Dawn of the Dead isn’t readily available to watch, but hopefully I’ll be able to see it one day and get that much more enjoyment out of it!

You noted this 'n Fuzz 'n Spaced editing...it's: the dramatically visual representation of British sarcasm - I can't explain what that means, but it's right.
