The biggest laugh I've had in a long time. Truly great opener to the second season. I'm already getting a little sad there is only six more episodes to follow.

Not sure if you noticed the massive zombie poster on the wall above the couch. Simon was a huge fan of Dawn of the dead (the original). That was the inspiration for the earlier zombie episode and then the eventual movie they made (Shaun of the dead)

I didn’t, but that’s so cool! I’m planning to watch night of the living dead next month in preparation of watching Shaun of the dead. Do you think I should watch dawn of the dead as well or just jump into Shaun?

Lionhunter

That's a good question. There are some references from Dawn of the dead in that movie. Totally up to you. Dawn is a pretty good movie in its own right. Personally my favorite among the zombie movies

Super fair. My assessment is that I don't HAVE to watch any of them, but it would enrich the experience. Frankly, I'd prefer to watch all 3 of the dead films and then watch Shaun. It's just difficult fitting them in the schedule because I don't like to do just one thing for too long, but I also don't want to take forever to get to it. So, I am just gonna go for it! Thanks.

You didn't comment on it, so I have to ask: Did you realise that the whole sequence of Daisy arriving to an empty house, putting some pop tarts into the toaster, noticing an Ingram submachine gun on the counter, noticing that someone is in the bathroom and pointing the gun at them as they emerge, book in hand was a straight up parody of Pulp Fiction? Many actors on the cusp of fame here, such as John Simm who played Daisy's unreliable travel companion a few years before he was cast as Doctor Who's unstoppable nemesis The Master. The red headed Agent was Mark Gatiss, who went on to be in everything from Doctor Who, Game Of Thrones and Sherlock. The other Agent was prolific comedy actor and writer Kevin Eldon. I love the way the show evolved, and the way it sets up the events to come.

Definitely didn't catch the pulp fiction references, another one I haven't seen! Now that you mention Mark Gatiss I totally see it! (from Sherlock, specifically) Very cool!
