Moving on can be quite difficult and this episode handled it really well. Not only for our favorite Admiral, but for the audience as well. It's crazy to me that next week our Battlestar Galactica journey reaches its conclusion.

Adama angrily painting a wall is the kind of thing that could so easily come off as horribly silly in the wrong hands, but the combination of Olmos’ performance and the entire history we’ve had with both him and this ship means it feels completely earned and we feel every bit of the emotion.

That's so accurate. Many performers could never pull off that scene as convincingly as Olmos. Never even questioned it. Powerful moment.

There's a lot to say and unpack about the final 6 or 7 episodes, but I just really like that moment where you finally see Lee just sort of give up on the idea of making any cogent, rational sense of things anymore. He just metaphorically throws his hands up and says, "Okay, down is up, left is right, and tables are chairs. Whatever. I'm so over trying to make sense of it. I'm just here for the free cocktail wienies and finger sandwiches. Let's take the ride and see where this insanity goes." They did a brilliant job of inserting that bit just so he could function as an audience analog and subtly let us know to just let go and take the ride as well.
